I volunteered at elephant nature park & had a really amazing week. The vegan food provided was absolutely amazing, with a large range of choices & always enough for everyone. The way the elephants & other animals are cared for is very ethical & the park is very transparent about their practises/ treatment of animals. You can tell that the money paid to the park is used to care for the animals, workers and park facilities. The staff are really friendly and helpful with additional activities for volunteers to learn more about Asian elephants and Thailand culture. The facilities are really nice in the park and the rooms are super comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience at the park and I hope to be back to volunteer again the future. It was really nice to meet Lek, learn about her journey and the work she does with elephants worldwide. I will continue to follow her and support her animal advocacy worldwide.

I had an incredible and even emotional experience at Elephant Nature Park. Our guide - Oh - was fantastic and you could tell she is passionate about her job and the work they do as an organization. They seem to truly care about the well being of elephants and other animals and do their part to help educate tourists about the toxic industries that mistreat animals for human benefit and entertainment (like elephant riding, elephant shows, logging, etc). All of their animals have been rescued from such industries and for some you can see the physical damage they've sustained as a result which is heartbreaking. Please consider visiting here and avoid going to other parks that mistreat the elephants or use harsh means to control them. They are beautiful, intelligent animals and it was so special to watch them be free! The park served a delicious vegan lunch buffet with tons of options. Bring sunscreen, hats, and water - it was roasting outside!

I loved coming here. The elephants are clearly loved and the fact my entrance fee went to an ethical place makes me very happy. Lunch was delicious and the staff lovely. I left my sunglasses there and a few phone calls were made, glasses were found and delivered back to the office. I would have liked to hear some elephant facts but it was a special day.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our Elephant Nature Park tour on 06 Feb 2024. Our guideʻs name was Andy who did all the things one would hope an experienced guide would do. ENP is definitely place to go if you care about elephants, their rehabitation and overcoming the terribleness of being a beast of burden at the hands of uncaring humans. Again, thank you Andy and the rest of the ENP staff for a memorable experience.

Love this place. Wonderful and welcoming. Such a beautiful feel. The staff are lovely & the coffee, cocoa are delicious. And I love the work they do.

I've previously volunteered at the Elephant Nature Park and it was an incredible experience.
Can't wait to return and celebrate my birthday amongst all the beautiful animals and people in one of the most peaceful places on earth 🩷🐘🐱🐶

The office was very helpful when assisting with booking an experience. As for the actual day of visiting the elephants, it's incredible! One of the highlights of my trip. It feels really good supporting an organization like this, and it really seems like they respect the animals, and all the animals seem very happy. If you are looking for an ethical place to see elephants and learn about them for a day, this is the place to go. Next time, I would even go for one of their multi-day experiences, or even volunteer, you will not regret coming here.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had while traveling! This place is an ethical rescue that puts the well-being of the animals first. You get to learn about the individual animals and what they’ve been through—many are rescued from circuses or cruel tourist experiences like elephant riding. Make sure to do the tour that includes the Skywalk, it was so special and the elephants were very friendly, they actually approached us and started to touch us gently with their trunks. It was amazing that everything the elephants did was their own choice, on their own terms. They are the ones in charge and never forced to do something they don’t want to do. The Cat Kingdom was a huge highlight for me as a cat lover too—it was like a dream come true hanging out with so many cute and friendly cats! Not to mention lunch was a super delicious vegetarian buffet and they had souvenirs hand-carved on-site. Also had a bar with good Thai tea and other drinks. I’m so glad my money went to an organization that rescues and rehabilitates animals—please support this place, you’ll be glad you did! Thank you to the friendly staff, especially “Oh,” who was our fantastic tour guide!

We just finished a week long stay at Elephant Nature Park. It was a week of volunteering a few hours a day, learning more about the elephants, making lifelong friends, and enjoying delicious meals. The accommodations were much better than I expected and the food was amazing. I will come back here again and again and again. ENP takes great care of their animals and staff, and it shows! I recommend this place to anyone who is an animal lover. (Also - if you are looking to adopt a dog, check this place out!! They have lots of rescued pups waiting on their forever homes.)

Ethical, unlike many other top rated trips on TripAdvisor or GetYourGuide. It means no touching, no feeding, just observing and letting them enjoy whatevee they like. Highly recommend at least full day trip as the way takes at least 1,5 from Chiang Mai and full day enables you to meet multiple of their 120 elephants in a relaxed way. I wish they start regulating the term “ethical” or give the trip providers a stamp/proof of ethical concept to eliminate the bad ones.

I recently visited the Elephant Nature Park office to arrange transportation to the park and was blown away by how friendly and helpful the staff were! They made the process so easy and stress-free, and I felt confident that I was in good hands. This is also the pickup point for those staying outside of the city, and I can say that the transportation to the park was comfortable and reliable. I highly recommend the Elephant Nature Park office for anyone planning a visit to the park. Thank you to the wonderful staff for their excellent service!

Ethical elephant sanctuary. It was amazing to see the elephants up close and the day was really well organised and ran like clockwork.

They still do some coaxing of the elephants to get them into the the right areas for the tour groups, but thankfully it's all through positive reinforcement (leading them with bananas for instance).

I'm not sure this is totally necessary though. We are all there to see them do what they want to do and if they don't want to get in the river that's cool. However I also ask my dog to go places and do things with treats so it's hard to judge here.

But overall the it's a great sanctuary. Elephants are given a better life, most of them rescued from the logging and entertainment industries. Our guide was really informative and it was overall a heart-warming experience.

The most incredible experience. I spent multiple days searching through the elephant sanctuaries in Thailand. My biggest fear was accidentally supporting an unethical place.
I was so impressed by Elephant Nature Park. We did the highlands tour and there were so many good things about it:
-Super small group sizes, so the elephants aren't overwhelmed by people (we had group of 5)
-Staff who don't use hooks or any type of force to get the elephants to walk near you during the tour
-Staff who are knowledgeable, kind and helpful
-TONS of time spent with the elephants (feeding them, petting them appropriately, walking with them, learning about them)
-Different animals roaming free all over the property

This was easily the highlight of my trip and no cruelty was involved at all. Their founder is a famous animal rights activist who has saved thousands of dogs, pigs, cows and other animals. The people here really care about the well being of animals. Highly recommend this place!!

An absolutely wonderful elephant sanctuary that truly cares about their animals wellbeing! I've always had a soft spot for animals and this sanctuary was a delightful place to visit.

We took the afternoon trip and were picked up outside our hotel by the shuttle bus and greeted by our guide. Deng was very insightful and knew lots about the elephants as well as their mistreatment within tourism and industry, many of the elephants bore wounds as a result of the cruelty they faced!

Going round the park and meeting the elephants was an absolute joy, I loved observing their behaviour and learned a great deal about these creatures. Our tour was followed by a fully vegan lunch and then a trip to the bridge where we were able to see the elephants one last time before we we're taken right back to our hotel.

Overall a great experience if you want to see the infamous Thai elephant and are conscious of animal cruelty!

A great place where the elephants can live in peace, without getting harassed by tourists. Also our tour guide Top was great, he could answer every question you asked. Can highly recommend going there if you're interested in the elephants wellbeing!

We did the highlands day and it was the most amazing experience! You really got the opportunity to get up close to the elephants and feed them some snacks. The whole day was well planned and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch too. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great ethical and interactive experience with elephants.

We had a truly amazing and unforgettable experience here. The nature park obviously cares deeply for their animals. They have taken time to understand the elephants needs and have prevented unnecessary contact with them such as bathing etc. which many others still offer.
We went with Chilli, a fantastic guide that knew all the elephants by name and told her own personal stories about her experiences with them.

There was a bonus cat kingdom that we visited here too - I've never met friendlier cats!

Well done, please keep up this amazing and fantastic work. The world is a better place with people like you in it.

Support this ethical sanctuary! We booked the half day morning visit and it was perfect. It was plenty of time to experience the elephants and we beat the extreme heat of the afternoon. Keep in mind that there is no touching, these are rescued animals from pretty terrible situations.

Just returned from an amazing time. This sanctuary is what all sanctuaries should be like in thailand. Neighbouring sanctuaries have riding and bathing of the elephant's which is the last thing the elephants should be doing. Sanctuaries like this are to protect and rehabilitate elephant's who had been forced into logging and practices that are solely for financial gain and not for the well being of these amazing intelligent animals. The guides provide an excellent experience by educating and introducing you to the elephant's who have suffered and experienced major trauma in their lives. Please stay away from some elephant sanctuaries who treat animals like a playground and practice unethical and abusive practices that take the spirit away from them just to amuse uneducated tourists for money. Elephant nature park is an absolute must.

Great experience, definitely the most well run on an ethical basis. The welfare of the animal is at the forefront of their minds at all times. We did the 2 day 1 night experience. Definitely worth it in my opinion as the trekking on day 2 was by far the highlight. Food and transport provided were very good.

HIGHLY recommending! The Highlands experience and our tour guide Top (spellcheck?) were the absolute BEST! I was hesitant about trekking but it was an easy 2km. A very immersive and interactive experience. Support this #2 globally recognized elephant sanctuary and dismiss all others!
