Great live music every night, friendly staff, beer served properly (i.e. without tons of ice), and none of the hostesses found in the sleazy bars on the other side of the river.

Best of all, it serves LaoBeer… The best beer in Thailand. From…er, Laos

We found it on our first night and went back every night.

Great pub with a fun atmosphere in the evening, we went twice and they had live bands playing. Roof top bar has a quieter vibe if that’s your thing and views are great Food choice is good, mix of Thai and some classic British grub.
Great location for New Years Eve, you get to witness the lanterns lifting off and with live bands playing we had a memorable night!

Went to the Moat House nearly every night during my stay in Chiang Mai. The cool thing about the Moat is that each night, there are different live bands that come in to play, and the talent is AMAZING! The staff is super friendly, and the vibe is really laid back. There's also a language exchange group that meets there once a week if you're into that.
So, if you're in town and you're looking for drinks and a really good time, then I highly suggest you swing by the Moat House. You won't be disappointed!

Great open-air bar with excellent live music 5 nights a week. Has a limited but very good menu with vegan options. Beer selection is limited too, especially when compared with it's sister Restaurant & Bar...Archer's. Nice place to enjoy good, live music and reasonably priced beer and a bite. Has Guinness and San Mig Light on tap.

Amazing food, service and unreal atmosphere, had the pork curry was the best I’ve had, live music was an amazing band, let 2 drunk guys sing blur song 2 was brilliant

Great night at the open mic, some amazing talent and alot of fun. We had an amazing night, great atmosphere and food was decent too.

Lively service, a dedicated owner, three bands on one night and a language exchange on the rooftop - this place is run for it to count on the scene, and it is very appealing for many reasons.

Had the Lamb Shank curry with potatoes that was so very good. What a different and delicious dish. Talked with the owner Mark who was super cool and friendly. Highly recommend this place for great food, and atmosphere 👍

Wonderful english bar with live music everynight and open mic nights on mondays. Brilliant service and hospitality and a lovely owner who tries to make sure everyone feels at home. After a few weeks in Thailand, I would definitely suggest this as one of the best bars for those on holiday or travelling! Also has a lovely rooftop bar open from 8pm.

Wow, what a cool place, great local bands, awesome and attentive staff, friendly owner and cool guy, the bands are very good, the sound system is spot on and rooftop bar nice for relaxing and overlooking the Thapae Area

Chill bar with live music nightly and a rooftop bar as well. Good menu with a few Thai dishes too. Cold beer, friendly staff, cool atmosphere.

Amazing place, and Charlie is very awesome. Met him on my first evening in chiang mai and had a blast. Came back with friends the day after.

A cracker of a bar this one. Great staff and food. Would highly recommend the rooftop at night. It doesn't seem to attract the barrage of hipsters that Chiang Mai attracts which is great. Good music too.

Mark and his team especially (Charle) are an absolute credit to bar industry in Chang Mai, if your looking for a warm welcome a good choice of beers, wines and spirts add some amazing food topped of by great entertainment LOOK NO FURTHER …..:::::

One of the best music venues in town. A great atmosphere, great staff, and my beef massaman was delicious - with beef that just fell apart!
