This is a spectacular hotel. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We stayed here for a week and enjoyed every moment of our staff. The beds were comfortable and I really enjoyed our terrace on the garden. I also spent a couple hours around the pool lounging. The pool is quite cold. The hotel is in the Thai style which just adds to the entire experience.

Stayed at the Rim Resort, for 6 days visiting Chiang Mai, My husband and I love and appreciate the good hospitality the stuff has. The resort gives Free shuttle bus to the night bazar and night market, just let the front desk know so they can reserve a sit for you, they will also organise tours and if you need help to get around Chiang Mai front desk is happy to help. The room was lovely and big. Chiang Mai is strict with smoking so most of the hotels/resorts are non smoking

Great location. Super clean rooms and lovely breakfast. Staff very polite and helpful. I especially liked that the decor was in keeping with the environment and while it isn’t a new hotel, that it is a little worn around some edges adds to the charm and makes it even more congruent with the vibe it is trying to achieve.

Wonderful hotel, all staff are polite and extremely helpful. Room is really big with 2 large doubles. Not too far to get anywhere especially if you use the red buses which are reasonably priced. Usually 100 to 200 bth depends where you want to go. We managed to walk to markets but it was hot . Lovely park about 10 mins walk away just to escape the traffic, which is horrendous.

We enjoyed staying at this boutique hotel very much. The room is spacious, clean, and have everything you need. Location is perfect to the old town of Chiang Mai, and you are 3-5 mins walk to 7/11, massage, restaurants, and some famous temples. The best part of this hotel is the excellent service. The staff were kind and eager to help. We can’t wait to come back!

Nice rooms, super friendly staff, great location in the old town. Its built around an old Lanna style Burmese colonial architecture with a really nice vibe. Also great laundry service just across the street !!

This was the best hotel we stayed in in Thailand. The room was very big with a nice balcony overlooking at the garden. Beautiful Lanna style decor, huge bed. Attentive with details. The bathroom was also pretty big, with both shower and bath. The garden and pool very beautiful. Breakfast was very good, nice selection of western and asian food. Staff were very nice and accomodating. They let us use the pool after check out. I would definitely come back.

Lovely chalet style hotel with wooden interiors in the old city close walking distances to many bars, restaurants, massage places and temple/monasteries.
Staff are extremely polite, welcoming and helpful.
Recommend this hotel to anyone rather than staying in a modern hotel block.
Hotel with a character.

Located slightly off the beaten track. Walking distance to most attractions within the old city in a nice and quieter area. Great service from the staff who provided good suggestions on places to visit. Simple but tasty breakfast.

The Rim really does a fantastic job (get it?) In all seriousness, it's a shining example of how, in my opinion, the mid-range luxury category ($100-200/night) is often the best value in a digital era which seems to polarize people between cheap low-end (best looking price) and overpriced high-end luxury (best looking photos). The Rim is elegant and understated from it's built-to-last construction, to its smart and cozy yet spacious layout, creating an oasis of serene peace and quiet, tucked away from the surrounding old city. When I stayed occupancy was low, maybe 50%, and there were no kids, so it was super relaxing and sometimes I felt like I had the whole place to myself.

All that said, I have to agree with other reviewers in that the breakfast is comically bad. It's just the absolute bare minimum, not even worth bothering to go down for.

Absolutely loved this hotel, the staff are so nice and accommodating. Beautiful property, good central location to everything. Be sure to check out the Saturday night Market! I left my swimsuit and they mailed it to my next hotel, complete life saver! Will definitely stay again when in Chiang Mai again.

A quiet and tranquil escape from the busy streets and allies of Old Town. It is close to many bars, restaurants and food carts. We extended our stay because we enjoyed this spot so much. The buffet breakfast was less than average but hardly dulled the otherwise flawless experience. Would recommend The Rim to anyone who wants to stay in Old Town, Chiangmai.

Such a good place to stay. Close to town but feels like an escape once you’re inside. This hotel has so much character and the staff is just the best.

We stayed in that wonderful and peaceful place for 5 nights and had a wonderful time here.
The location is very good, the rooms are clean, good equipped and our bed was suuuper good. I feel we could sleep there forever. :-) The service quality of the team was also very friendly, super helpful and just very much focused on the well-being of their hotel guests.
The breakfast was good, with fresh fruits, several cereal’s, bred, hot offerings and a wide selection of juices, teas, coffee variations.
The price was also reasonable and the receptionists were very helpful to organise tours for us.
The internet speed was also very good, we had 40 Mbps download and 80 Mbps upload as I used a speedtesting app on my wirelessly connected mobile phone close to the access point.

The resort itself was beautiful and well located on the edge of the Old city. Our room was fully equipped with whatever we needed. Smart TV's allowing us to access Netflix and YouTube.
We were on our honeymoon and they upgraded our room free of charge as it was available. Staff were so cute and were always so attentive and chef tailored our breakfast for us as we are vegetarian! Staff were great in providing directions and booking cabs and were also very easy to communicate in English with! Would deffo stay again!
