Just had my motorbike washed. Started to drive away and saw the dashboard wasn't working, the lights flickering on and off and sometimes totally disappearing. After the first person (think he was a customer who knew some English) tried telling me it was broken when I came, which was starting to get me quite worried, then other people came and tried to figure it out. Seemed like water had got in but one person showed me it seemed dry inside the covering. One person did a video call showing what the dash looked like. Finally they all decided I should take it to the Yamaha shop. When I said I'd be charged they said they knew a guy there. To make sure, one of them hopped on his bike and guided me there.
Half way there the dashboard kicked on and was solid. The Yamaha guy double-checked the connections but the consensus was that water had gotten in and the short drive had dried it out.
Was really impressed how they tried to help, even guiding me to the dealership to ensure the problem was resolved.
Highly recommend for the way they stood behind the problem and worked with me to ensure it got fixed.
