Wonderful small hotel next to the river they supplied insect repellent in the evening which did seem to work we had the Oriental breakfast which was perfect and prepared very well the service is excellent as we've seen throughout Asia with very polite staff, there is a swimming pool on the roof and one in the lounge area by the river aircon in the room was very efficient, its just a short walk to the old town area of chiang mia where if you go off the beaten path you'll find some very nice local restaurants, nothing was too much trouble for the staff from the management down to the cleaner the only fault with our room was the traffic noise in the morning but we were out front so not much you can do about that it had shutters and double glazing to help Keep the noise down chiang mia is very busy in the morning so I guess this would be the same wherever you stay

Its a perfect location on the river. A 4 star hotel but with some 5 stars qualities. The room is a good size, and you can even get netflix in your room. The balcony is perfect with two rocking chairs. The breakfast is a la carte. The laundry was quite expensive. The pool bar on the roof is perfect for relaxing.

We had a wonderful stay during Yee Peng. While the hotel was quite busy for the festival, the staff were absolutely wonderful and so helpful during our stay. They were so friendly and very accomodating. The property is really beautiful, with spacious rooms which are well maintained. We particularly loved the garden area which offers many seating areas and overlooks the river. The ‘living room’ space was the perfect, comfortable location for getting a few hours work done and the restaurant offered friendly staff and delicious meals. The made to order breakfast was delicious and filling, and was convenient to order ahead and have ready when we were. We loved the location as well, having previously stayed in the historic centre, we felt this location was so much nicer and had easier access to the less touristy side of Chiang Mai. I highly recommend Sala Lanna and send a big thank you to the team who made our stay so wonderful - and for the beautiful krathong they gave us!

Fantastic sunset rooftop bar in Chiang Mai. Worth to visit even you’re not staying in the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay here. Everyone was very nice and helping. It’s close to the city center without all the noise and people. Our suite was amazing. A claw foot tub and tons of space and natural light. We enjoyed the food and the drinks as well as the lovely riverfront seating areas. There are adorable shops and tea and coffee shops nearby!! There are a couple bars nearby that were recommend and looked very lively but we never had the energy to check it out. We enjoyed a very reasonably priced couples massage right in our room even with short notice. The parking attendant in the front was very helpful to helps us get transportation so transfer pickups here were very easy. They have several small touches in the rooms that are adorable and you can purchase them if you want which makes souvenir shopping very easy!

Very nice small hotel. Good rooms, nice restaurant, staff good and attentive without out being pushy. Only disappointment was the roof top pool which appeared to be under renovation. It was my birthday the first night I stayed. Went out for dinner and upon arrival back to the room a member of staff appeared with a large piece of delicious cheesecake with a chocolate decoration saying Happy Birthday. It was a very nice touch and much appreciated.

Loved the place!! Got an upgrade to the suite and was blown away by the beauty of the bathroom with this high ceiling window that takes in all the natural light! The bed was comfy. Despite being located in a very busy road and our room is right in front of it we did not get any disturbing noises and slept just fine. The bed was so comfy and its also located very near to the famous restaurant the Good View and Woo Cafe. The rooftop pool however was a little disappointing and run down though..

The staffs are polite and friendly. The room is quite spacious. We really enjoy spending our evening on the balcony. The breakfast is good though I would prefer to have more choices of food.

Location is opposite of Waroros market, which is attached to Ping river.

Room is as good as Sala, clean roon and comfortable. View from room is covered by the tree and spa roof.

Breakfast is set menu in Thai and Western style. It's tasty.

Beautifully designed boutique hotels in Chiang Mai. Compact and yet distinctive in designs and service. Right at Ping river. Car parking lots available outside. Huge deluxe king suites. Spacious with small garden beside shower area. Well located. Closed to major attractions in town.

It's a great value.

Check in process is smooth. Wife and I were treated to complimentary cool towels and refreshments (greatly appreciated after our afternoon walk!).

As soon as we stepped into the room, I knew I made right choice picking this place. First off, being farang, I super appreciated that the AC was already on and the room near a delightful 70 degrees fahrenheit. Next, you have the subtle smell of aroma therapy that pairs well with massive king sized bed decorated with a couple of orchids. And if that wasn't enough to cause those knots in your back to loosen, there is the enormous soaking tub and walk in shower with a rain shower head, both options facing into your own little water courtyard. And yes, you can see the sky from either option with privacy. Oh, and it comes with bath salts.

Now to some of the basics. Four complimentary water bottles per a day. Roof top restaurant onsite. Walking distance to the flower market and night bazaar, latter if it isn't to hot out. Pretty quiet in the room, can only make out the occasional motorcycle. A sofa, two chairs, and a coffee table provide a space to sit and relax other than just the side of a bed.

This is not for the hostel crowd. This is for those who want space, not right in town but close enough that it's just a quick ride away.

arrived at the hotel after a longggg flight , welcomed at the reception with a refreshing drink , a free room upgrade , 15% discount at the restaurant . room is amazing a mixture between modern and old times . bed very comfortable and veryyyy big and the view lovely . staff faultless , recommend with trust .

We only stayed here one night but loved it. We had a room with a balcony facing the river and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast, and friendly staff. We would definitely come back!

In General I would give 5 stars for this beautiful boutique hotel. A few things can be improved is maybe cleaning room earlier (or don’t forget to clean, water came out from shower room as the door can’t be totally close) I was very impressed that our breakfast was packed and ready ready at 4.30 am , as we left early to our trip for the day. Most of staff was very friendly, location is Great!! Definitely will be back!

Nearly didn't give 5 stars and perhaps I am being picky? Great location on the river and proper high-end boutique digs. Large (very) room with great balcony and old worlde bath tub. Staff was hit and miss.....check-in excellent but on other occasions completely ignored by other staff...huh? Def will return.

This place was great, well pretty darn perfect, but the breakfast was just amazing. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Best hotel stay in years and I travel all the time. I will be staying here again.
