Recommend! Prices are quite reasonable. The cars are new and in good condition. You can book a car through the website. All arrangements and questions can be addressed through WhatsApp in private messages. It's better to book a car well in advance (2 weeks or a month before the trip) because at the last moment, there's almost a guarantee that there won't be available cars.

The deposit of 5000 baht can be paid in cash. If you scratch the car, naturally, the deposit won't be refunded. When the company's staff hands over the car, they carefully inspect it and note all damages on a special sheet that you need to sign. It's better to take additional photos just in case.

In our case, there were no road incidents, so we returned the car in the same condition and, of course, received our 5000 baht back. It's a bit challenging to get used to left-hand traffic and right-hand drive, especially if you're from Europe, but it's not critical.

I'll say this: in northern Thailand, it will be very difficult without a car. With a car, you'll discover amazing places that will bring a lot of positive emotions and remain in your memory forever. So, rent a car without hesitation - you won't regret it.

Good experience taking up a 6 days rental with them. Easy pick up at Chiang Mai International Airport. Punctual on time. Staffs was friendly and helpful. Car arranged was in good condition. Took her for a 1200km journey around Chiang Mai /Chiang Rai/Pua/Nan route. Safe and Comfortable enough. Return was easy too. Will rent from them again on our next trip.

we recommend this company definitely, they will deliver the car to your place and you can return it to the place you want, they don't require the credit card just 5000bt as deposit.
the car was relatively new and well maintained, with around 15,000km when we returned the car. The guy (Panuwit) inspected the car and found a scratch on the front fender. actually, this was just a rubber stain that he helped us to remove it simply with a tissue and refunded the entire deposit to us.

We rented a scooter for 6 days, it’s much convenient to go anywhere in Chiang Mai. When we grabbed the scooter, only need 2000 deposit, no need to put passport there. When we returned, also very smooth to get deposit back.

Rented a Honda Click 160cc for two days and a Honda City for 2 Days.

The Honda click was 400Baht per day and the city 1200Baht.

The scooter and car were basically brand new. Scooter had 3000km and the car 5000km. Both driven perfectly and got us everywhere. Service was also perfect. Prepared everything, was quick and easy and the people working there are extremely nice.
We also dropped off the car at the bus station without any problems. Everything was always on time so also perfect if you need to catch a bus in time.
Would highly recommend and would rent with them again!

Very good service. We rented a car for a trip to Chiang Mai. We wrote to the company chat and 1.5 hours later the car was delivered. We were very pleased, the car was brought straight to the house, and picked up at the station when we drove on. The car was new, in very good condition, clean, comfortable. We received our car in perfect condition and we were able to pay by cash, including the 5000 baht deposit, which they returned the same day we dropped off the car.

The staff is very kind and responsive via whatsapp if you need any help or have any issues with the car.

If we come back to Thailand we will definitely rent again with them!

I booked for scooter (2 days - Honda Snoopy 110i) and car for (2 days - Toyota Yaris but changed to Toyota Ativ by vendor) on 12-16/9 in Chiang Mai.

Pro: Friendly Staff, Easy Communication in English, Prompt Reply from Customer Service, Doorstep Delivery & Return (Not Necessary at Airport), Good Vehicle Condition with Low Mileage, Deposit Able to Pay in Home Country Currency (not necessary in Thai Baht)

Con: Forgot My Booking of Scooter (on 1st day arrival) until I WhatsApp and Checked with Customer Service.

Overall, the experience is good. During our stay in Chiang Mai, we did request to modify our delivery / collection time very last minute and the team had tried the best to accomodate.

I will consider to book with them again if visit Chiang Mai next round.

The nicest car rental company I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. I’ve tried long-term rentals of the Toyota Veloz and Honda City Turbo—both vehicles were new, clean, and in fantastic condition. Consistently great comms and, as long as you look after the car, there’s zero fuss at all.

I think this is the best car rental experience I have ever had. Nothing like Hertz or all those thiefs around. It was an easy an excellent experience in many senses. They really care about the customer and make thinks easy for you.

Highly recommend BC for your car rental in Chiangmai. Lower prices than other car rental companies I checked with and they send the car to the hotel so it's very convenient. Car was in good condition and great service from their staff Palm. You can pay the deposit in your own foreign currency if you don't want to end up with too much Baht. They will refund you the same if there is no damage to the car.
Driving in Chiangmai was a breeze. It may be Thailand's 2nd largest city but you don't get the heavy traffic like Bangkok. In fact traffic was mostly light especially outside the city to attractions like Doi Suthep and Doi Inthanon.

We rented a Suzuki Swift (automatic) for 2 days. The car was clean and very new. The price is very fair and the deposit low.

Smooth and pleasant experience in renting the car from Budgetcatchers. I rented a six seater Toyota Avanza for 10 days for driving in Chiangmai and for our journey towards ChiangRai and Pai. Given the road conditions and climate, the car was a no problem one from the start to finish. Nicely maintained vehicle with good interior and exterior. Staff are polite and helpful at all times. I've rented a Toyota Yaris here to get to Pai and around. My choice was LUCKY CAR and it had happened to be Yaris, but a bit cheaper then that same Yaris if chosen distinctively.
It was my first ride on the opposite side of the road as a driver, but it took me like first 50km to get used to it, more or less. So for those hesitating whether to rent a car or not - don't you worry and rent it. You'd get much more than those crowded and time-limited trips have to offer.
The process of renting of a car was clear and dead simple - I was told to call them first in any case, we walked around the car - me recording a video of everything an a manager showing me all dents and scratches, got a key and bye-bye, see u soon :)
Returning was almost the same. Since I had no incidents or new wounds on a car I'd got my cash deposit back and again bye-bye, see u soon :)

If you are a foreigner renting a car or bike this is the place to come. They are super nice people and help you rent the correct vehicle for the journey. Great back up service and they care which some other companies don’t get.

I’d highly recommend doing the Mae Hong Son loop, it’s not difficult just take your time. Thai drivers are very polite just go with the flow. Stay alert and enjoy the drive..
