Smile Lanna Hotel

Lovely hotel and lovely people! Everyone was so nice, the rooms were perfectly clean and spacious. The pool is great to chill for a day and relax. Also very close to the airport. We usually walked everywhere so it‘s still cöose to the markets and everything.

The hotel buildings and grounds are beautiful. The room was spacious. It's at a convenient location, just outside the old city walls, and minutes from the airport. The staff, from front desk to dining room were always friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfasts.

Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and a fabulous pool. Happy hour every day from 2-4 with free snacks ( the Thai people are great snackers!) and tea or soft drinks by the pool. There was also a free craft (beading mainly) activity each morning by the pool. We were there on the first day of the flower festival in the park opposite the hotel. Beautiful!

Amazing hotel and great location. The staff is so lovely - very kind and helpful. We had the deluxe double apartment - fully equipped. You can order ironing desk and even laundry service. Outstanding choice when it comes to breakfast. Everyday activities - soap and bracelet workshops, swimming pool and drink bar with happy hours. Wish we stayed longer in Smile Lanna!

Very nice place, well situated, all staffs were kind. The swimming pool is warmer than other place.

It was my favorite accommodation among the accommodations I stayed in Chiang Mai and I intend to visit again.
It was suitable for a quiet rest, it was close to the old town, the landscaping was nice and green, it was well maintained, and the staff were very friendly.
The breakfast was satisfactory enough, the fruits were fresh, the roti baked on site was good, and the outdoor pool was also relaxing.
A post-breakfast stroll in the walkable Nong Buak Haad Public Park brought peace of mind.
Recommended for those looking for a quiet getaway in northern LANNA style accommodation.

Overall experience was amazing! The rooms were clean and spacious. We had 3 people staying in one room and the hotel provided 3 of everything (I.e slippers, robes, toiletries) which is not very common at hotels these days. The staff was very nice and friendly…even provided umbrellas to us when it was pouring outside. The breakfast buffet was delicious and staff there was very attentive. I will be returning to this hotel and would recommend to anyone!

A very well appointed hotel that is an easy walk or a manic tuk tuk ride into all the tourist parts of town. The pool is exceptional. We can highly reccomend.

We loved this hotel. The staff is by far the best thing about it. Every single one of them made our stay so much more enjoyable due to their attention to detail and just always helpful. We stayed with our 15 month old and he absolutely loved exploring the hotel and the pool is definitely a place to be. It’s small but the pool is filled with mineral water and not too much chlorine is a plus! They have free bracelet making and soap making (Friday) session on a daily basis is such a great way to connect with people and culture. The breakfast spread is outstanding with local and continental offerings. The room we stayed in was big enough for a double bed and a cot and the balcony overlooked the pool. Just stunning! We would definitely come back to visit.

We loved our stay in the hotel. The staff is amazing, kind, and super attentive. The breakfast is diverse and caters to both Asian and European wishes. The restaurant is delicious and has amazing food for lunch and dinner. The pool is a great plus and invites to relax but we had our best time making bracelets and soap in the afternoon - we definitely won't forget this experience. Just lovely!

This is a fantastic brand new hotel just outside the moat on the southwest corner of the old city. The rooms are modern, spacious and well appointed. Large heated outdoor pool. Great staff. Full buffet breakfast included. A rare upscale find that ticks all the boxes.
Update Feb 2024: We've been back annually and still stand by our initial review. The attention to detail is commensurate with top tier 5 star hotels. We'll be back.

We loved our stay at Smile Lanna. From the moment you step in, the kindness of the staff and beautiful garden put you in a feel good mode. Perfect for a getaway weekend!

The room is comfortable and comes with outdoor space, a large shower and welcoming bed. Breakfast is diverse and tasty. From there you can directly go to the swimming pool, it’s sun beds and surrounding rice field. We had a pleasant stay!

Its a 4 star hotel with very very good service. From security guard, front office, and staff at restaurant. Check in time is 2pm, i dropped off my luggage and went to somewhere else first.
Room i booked is grand deluxe, very large with balcony. Room is clean with good amenities, free of charge for minibar. There's also a bathtub in this room too and good pool view indeed.
Hotel swimming pool is nice, using mineral water system with jacuzzi. In room is including air purifier too.
Breakfast is superb, serving local Thai food, western, and Thai dessert. I really enjoyed it.
They also have free class for bead activity & soap class during 9-11am & happy hour 2-4pm serving free fruits.
This is a non smoking hotel, restricted with durian & pets.
Good location, city center and can access to many famous places. They also provide free shuttle to Tha Pae gate but need to book in advance.
Overall i have a good experience & highly recommend the place.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The atmosphere (pool, interior) was exceptional, the staff was amazing and super sweet with our two kids (1 and 3 years old), the breakfast buffet had everything one could wish for, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. We are so thankful for this special experience and would always choose this hotel again.

We had an outstanding experience at Smile Lanna. The hotel itself is gorgeous with a garden, pond, beautiful trees and flowers surrounding the pool - you can always hear the sound of rushing water which was very calming. The breakfast buffet was delicious with mango sticky rice available too! The best part was the staff, they were incredible, attentive, helpful, caring. Special shout out to Doi, Max and Pat! You guys made our stay extra special. We’ll definitely be returning to see your smiling faces again!

It’s such a pleasure staying here. This hotel is like a boutique resort, with lovely, leafy garden. Swimming pool, fish ponds, pagoda, swing bed in the middle of the buildings. The staff team is excellent, they all prepare to help. They are humble, friendly and smiley, just like their name. The hotel also provides free shuttle service to night bazaar, free soap making & bead making workshop. It’s definitely a family orientated accomodation. The room is spacious, in good detail. Breakfast is excellent too, full of choices. On top of this, it’s totally smoking FREE.
Can’t wait to come back again 😊😊
