Kamala's Boutique Guest house

It was so clean and nice! And the owner is the best person you can stay with, so kind and beautiful person!! Always will stay here when I come to Chiang Mai

The hostess is the friendliest, smiliest, most accommodating boutique hotel owner you will ever meet. Her hotel offers a unique relaxed vibe that is impossible to replicate. Also, the place is ideally situated right next to the east gate of the old city. Clean, large rooms, air conditioned, space to hang out, good free coffee, and if you ask her, she might accommodate pets! VERY reasonably priced. I recommend!

We had a great time there with Rooster (our dog) who now feels like he owns the place.

Strategic location to the main tha phae gate old city and night bazar. The receptionist is super friendly. Not suitable for people with weak knees as they have to carry the suitcase up to 1st and 2nd floor room. Lots of public transportation and walking distance (1km) to Masjid Hidayatul Islam Banhaw and halal food for Muslim.

I had a great experience, highly recommend! Check-in was super easy and Kamala was kind enough to upgrade my room as well as hold my room and luggage while I was away trekking/in Chiang Rai! The area is just outside of the East Gate but within walking distance of everything, would highly recommend. Only issue is if you can't go up stairs, but other than that the hotel is very no-fuss and chill.

Great place, owner is very helpful and happy woman, is the most centric guest house you can find and breakfast is delicious!

My partner and I stayed almost 2 weeks at Kamalas Guest House. Even they normally don't take pets, we could stay there with our dog without any problem. From the first contact to our last day at the guest house, Kamala was always really helpful. It felt more like staying with friends. I could contact her via phone when ever I had a question and often she just came over and we could ask her in person.
It was our first time in Thailand and we also wanted to move to Chiang Mai for a while. Always when you are in a new country there is so much to learn. But because of Kamala and her helpful staff it was really easy for us to adapt to our new home. When you book a room at Kamalas you get more than just a place to stay. Prices are really good, the rooms had everything you need, got cleaned every day if you wish and the guest house is pretty good located. Everything you need is in walking distance. Restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, bars, temples and also a lot of tourist attractions close by. And even if you are so close to the center of Chiang Mai, the street of the guest house is pretty quiet. In the morning you get free coffee and in the evening you can also enjoy a nice drink and have a nice chat with Kamala and her friends. We highly recommend staying at Kamalas. Especially if you want to experience a more local vibe. Thank you Kamala for making our time at your place to a really beautiful experience.

Rooms are super spacious. The bathroom was a little grungy but also super spacious. There were a few loose tiles, so you must be careful not to trip. You can't beat the location or the service! Kamala is really cool, and so is her staff. So friendly, kind, and accommodating. Careful on the stairs! They're not even a full foot width wide, and my friend fell. Not wheelchair accessible (if you're looking for that. I wasn't.). I'd definitely stay here again.

Had an Excellent stay here at Kamala's. Location is perfect near to Thapae gate and rooms were clean and comfy. All the staff including the host are very friendly. Had a wonderful time here at Chiang Mai. Highly Recommend this guesthouse to other travellers..

I have stayed at Kamala Boutique Gueshouse a few times and always found it to be very cosy with a real friendly family atmosphere offering great service and, probably the best value in central Chiang Mai. Fantastic central location but private and always quiet. The rooms are well furnished, very clean with everything is supplied - wifi fridge toiletries etc - I notices just recently Nok is permitting animals now, so next time I come I shall bring my pet frog!

Very clean, comfortable spacious room. Unbeatable value for the price! The owner, PNok, is very lovely, helpful and accommodating. You can ask her for any info, as she knows the city quite well. I definitely recommend this place and will stay here again. :)

Great guest house with great people! Right next to the east gate and a 2 minute walk from the night market. I'll definitely stay there again next time I'm in Chiang Mai. 🙂

The ghesthousse is very well located in the center of chang mai. The host is incredibly welcoming and friendly. She gave us lots of good advice and good plans to discover the region. Don't hesitate, it's a good place to have a great meeting! :D

We booked kamala's boutique guesshouse thru airbnb with out any high expectation as all of our previous guesshouse were pretty average. Turns out this place was above average in every way! The room were confortable and clean! The bathroom was big! You get free water everyday! There's a lot of place to store your stuff! The owner was extremelly helpful and was speaking great english! Its extremely well situated! And the best thing this was the cheapest guesthouse we stayed at so far! We extented out stay in chiang mai because we liked this guesthouse so much!

We came in way before our check in time and the person at the front desk offered us to leave our bags behind the counter which i felt really safe doing so! When we came back he told us our room was ready and we were able to see that cleaning is taken seriously because the room was smelling fresh.

Every night when coming back the lady at the front desk was asking us how was our day and actually showing interest in what we were doing.

Every night we were coming back in our room in perfect condition and 2 new water bottles that we were putting in the fridge for the next day.

I recommend everyone that's staying in chaing mai to consider this guesthouse cause you wont regret staying there.

Beautiful place with nice rooms for the price. The owner is very friendly and helpful, the location is great (very centrally located yet quiet) and they have great food as well (try the Bang Mi, it's amazing). I will definitely stay here again!

Welcoming, relax and friendly place where you can enjoy wonderfull food. The owner Nok is so friendly and helpful, she speaks perfect English. The atmosphere is great and easygoing, you can meet local and expats, and spend such a good time. Extra plus: excellent location, right in front of Thapae gate. Highly recommended!

It's double and queen bed. The room is clean, no elevator. Good location, near Tha phea gate,Thaphea walking street, McDonald's and Starbucks. Nice staff and value.

Definitely good value for the price. The location is great and it's close to the Sunday market. The staff are very nice and helped me to move rooms when we had an issue with something being too loud. Would highly recommend for the price.
