Warorot Market (Kad Luang)

Amazing local market that has almost everything you need from fresh produce to preserved food. Enjoy walk around the market, especially the first floor where you can buy snacks and local products. The sellers are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is airy and not to crowded.

Lots of great food products, nuts, tea, and coffee here. Enjoyed walking through to try so many different foods. Starts closing up around 5pm to shift outside to the night market.

A very interesting local market in Chiang mai. So many vendors selling different items, including but not limited to food, flowers, clothes, shoes and bags, fabrics, desserts etc.
Very difficult to find parking if you go by a car. Roads are crowded nearby.

This is a traditional market. It is not popular as other area now, but it is worth a visit for the some stuff such as dry fruits, fruits jelly candies, and some clothes. The price is very cheap here!

Nice place for shopping and eating cheap food. A lot of clothing and food stores. If you're on a budget, you can eat here for 50 Baht.

Very well designed market with high roof, so the place is not hot even without air conditioning. A wide selection of goods and products on sale here at reasonable prices.

A big market located within the Chinatown of Chiang Mai. We came here to buy snacks (nuts, dry fruit, pork skin, sweets, etc) as souvenirs before we flew back.

My family came to Chiang Mai and visited Warorot Market together to buy souvenirs. The price is written on the item.
It's a fixed-price system, and if you buy a lot, the price is reduced a little.
It was hot, but it was cleaner than I thought and parking was good.

The biggest local market where you can find anything that you want.

Plenty of local fruit selection both fresh fruit or dry fruit. All local food and dessert. Do come to explore here. There are many section that you can find.

The flower market is also located near by just right next to Ping river.

Many local dish to be found here.

Amazing local market with a good spread of thai spices, condiments, chiang mai food, northen cuisine. Price is very reasonable and very friendly operators.

An assortment of various goods, abundant and busy market with a local food court with cheap prices too! You'll find a food court on the ground level and food stalls on the first floor. It's an old school shopping mall selling a lot of snacks and textiles. The best part is likely the fruit market on the corner near 7 Eleven. The bathroom here costs 3 baht and it's pretty clean

One of our absolute favorite shopping areas and markets in Chiang Mai!
We go here frequently to shop. It is a huge market with lots of booths and surrounding shops with all sorts of unique items that you can buy at very reasonable prices.
It is made up of two huge buildings with indoor markets, and many outdoor shopping stands along the surrounding sidewalks, plus many street shops in about a 2 or 3 block surrounding area.
They have the largest fresh seafood market in town here, and the flower market is right next door.
We buy lots of sundries, including coffee, tea, fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, snacks and desserts, nuts, spices, and cooking supplies. We also enjoy shopping at the booths that sell unique handmade items, like clothing, bags, jewelry, wood bowls and cutting boards, etc.
It is often very busy, but not too crowded to be able to shop without having to fight a crowd.
There are also plenty of food stands, if you need a snack.
Plan on spending several hours here wandering through the market, then exploring the shops on the surrounding streets.
We have always recommended this market to friends visiting Chiang Mai, and we will keep going back!

Amazing market, you will find everything with moms and pops stands, with shade and no crowd during the day . Very few tourists. Excellent food, just follow bank employees to the best stands for excellent lunch for 50 bahts. And a shake to die for for 25.

I love this place.
I bought jackets from here before I travelled to Chiang rai. You can get cheap things here and many spices , sweets and all the things.

A really neat market. Less touristy than some of the others near by. Great food options outside until the late evening.

A great market on the east side of old city. Cheap food, clothes, and beauty services! Come at night to try delicious curries and my personal favorite, the fried chicken/meat stall!

Well laid out Market, 3 levels of pure magic. Beautiful fabrics, premade clothes for everyone in the family.
