Pingviman Hotel

We were blown away by this hotel! The room (presidential suite) was absolutely beautiful with huge beds. The bathrooms were also massive and included jacuzzi baths and stylish decor. We found the staff couldn't help enough, the pool was clean and calm and the breakfast was delicious with fresh eggs cooked as you like and excellent coffee. Thank you!

This was a lovely hotel! We spent two night here. The room was large and very clean. There were some free soft drinks in the fridge and some snacks. There was also a jacuzzi bath which was excellent. They also had plenty of amenities. The pool was also very nice, and the breakfast was delicious. I’d definitely come back here!

This place as amazing. We got a huge room, with two bathrooms, and jacuzzi.

Breakfast is a bit disappointing, with little to no variation, but still good.

The pool is also nice.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and large. Not too far from the airport which is also a nice touch!

We stayed here for 1 night and wish we could have stayed longer since it feels like you are staying in a castle.

We had a wonderful stay at Pingviman. It was our first stay after a long flight from the U.S. to enjoy an elopement/honeymoon and when we arrived we were happy to be greeted with positive staff and a wonderful room. The pool view and area was spectacular and the hotel staff was super accommodating for any transportation and any other reasonable needs. Their morning breakfast buffet was good and we experienced no issues staying here. We would be happy to come back.

We stayed in Chiang Mai for 3 nights at the Pingviman Hotel. This hotel has such a beautiful decor with very spacious rooms. The atmosphere was very relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed the breakfast options and utilized the laundry service as well. Hotels location is near a night market and also a stunning park where the locals go for nightly exercise. The hotel also has an on site travel agent to assist with your daily excursions, such as elephant sanctuary and cooking classes. The staff was all very pleasant and helpful.

A lovely quiet hotel within the walls of the old city.. An oasis with a pool and trees in the centre (sunbeds on northside of pool get sun during the day). Luxury poolside room was spacious a clean. Bed was firm but comfortable. Big TV and all sat channels. Very large Jacuzzi bath. Good location with shops, food and great massage opposite (needed after 30 hours of travelling to get there!). Only issue was pool opening times were 9am to 9pm.. Would have been nice to use before breakfast..so could head off straight after. Checkout at 12 though, so there was time to use facilities. Would highly recommend this hotel.

highly recommended, staff extremely nice and friendly. Location is great, lots within walking distance (coin laundry, cash FX, 7-11, temple, lots of local restaurants etc)

room was great, clean and very analog and relaxing. if you can get a good breakfast deal as part of your package, I would recommend it as breakfast had good variety of Thai and western style food options

Well located hotel for exploring Chiang Mai. A great base for walking around the city. The pool is set back and quiet, feels like a little oasis in the city. You can get drinks including Thai tea, iced coffee, beer and cocktails around the pool.

Our room was very spacious and clean. Staff were attentive, although sometimes not at reception so be sure to ring the bell if you need somebody to come to reception. There is place for you to store your luggage and it’s kept secure with a padlock.

Overall a great hotel to explore Chiang Mai and a peaceful location for a rest between tours and night markets. I would definitely return to Pingviman hotel.

Wow !!!! This place is absolutely gorgeous it felt very old school regal. Everything was just perfect the entry rooms and gardens were beautiful, and the dining room had a lovely feel all in a perfect location. It's a definite go-to

My partner and I just finished staying here for four days and we both agree this is our favorite hotel we have ever stayed at. We loved the hotel so much that we wanted to leave a review. We really liked all of the wood furniture, you can smell the wood and all the detail is very ornately carved in to each wood piece. It’s very beautiful. We got a room with a private balcony which was lovely to sit on in the evenings. They offer a complementary breakfast buffet in the mornings with rotating offerings each day that was pretty tasty. Proximity to everything is excellent. The staff is available 24/7 and they offered 2 complementary waters to the room daily. The pool was so nice to come back to after walking around in the heat and they have a bar near the pool where you can get delicious piña colada’s among other drinks. We found the hotel to be charming and if we come back to chiang mai we will stay here again.

Great big beautiful rooms in this charming hotel the staff were great with food recommendations and helped us get a driver for go to the Namtok Bua Tong-Nam Phu Chet Si National Park.

Great hotel, big nicely decorated and very Thai rooms. Breakfast is pretty good too.

What a beautiful hotel, lovely pool surrounded by tree's...Rooms are very clean, spacious and well designed....all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again..

Great location in the SW corner of Old Town. Rooms are very spacious (bathroom maybe too much for my taste). The furniture in Lanna style is lovely and creates the vibe of oriental luxury. The staff was kind and very helpful. The pool is great but very busy with a lot of children which means a lot of noise. Be prepared for mosquitoes or at night you'll be on the losing side. Breakfast is decent for the price, but the hotel restaurant closes way too early (or is not open at all). But what really miffed me is that the fridge and the kettle are placed in the bathroom section of the room which means kinda annoying journeys there and back again. Oh, and the room doors are secured with a padlock - a bit of shock at the beginning, strangely fun in the end.

We loved our four nights at the Pingviman! Impressive from the inside and out! The pool gets great sun and had ample seating. Bathroom floors can be a bit slippery so be careful. Surrounding area is okay, the main action spots are a little further into the old town. Blue Clover across the street was our go-to massage parlor. Definitely worth a visit.

We love this hotel! The location is great. There are 7-11, pharmacy stores, restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet is good. The public park and a small wat are around the corner. The swimming pool and the gym are also good. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The architecture of this premise is of Thailand style. Overall, we love this place.

Amazing hotel, we got to book it with a discount due to low season and we felt like the VIPs of Chiang Mai. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, the breakfast is very good, staff is extremely friendly, happy hour cocktails by the pool are good value for money and overall the decor of the hotel is great! Would definitely come back here.

What a great hotel. Oh my.
We planned our entire Thailand trip around this hotel. A room became available during a Black Friday sale and we grabbed the 4 days. Then planned everything else around it.
We were not disappointed. The grounds are gorgeous. The rooms just fantastic. Had a great time.
We used the tour desk inside the hotel and the elephant tour went great. I would recommend them.
If there was 1 tiny little thing to nitpick about it would be that there were a number of lights that weren’t working. We stayed in the main building on the 3rd floor. It was very dark getting up there at night as none of the lights work on the stairs. And I noticed the same thing throughout the property.
But don’t let a few lightbulbs deter you. It’s one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at.
