Bodhi Serene, Chiang Mai

Room was quite spacious. Accommodations a bit old but reasonable for this price point. I slept on the cot and it was not a real bed - it wasn’t long enough and was not a flat surface where my head and my feet were higher than the middle part of my body… wasn’t the best place to sleep on.

Front desk was very helpful and accommodated my asks to switch rooms. My new room on the second floor is much better than my room on the first floor- much better sunlight, less mosquitoes (since the first floor room was right next to the pond) so I could actually enjoy the balcony.

Located on a Main Street that had a lot of construction so was a bit more messy than an average old town main street, but still quite close to restaurants and various attractions. Despite being next to a Main Street, my room with a garden view was quite quiet.

Rooms were large with a nice balcony overlooking a central water feature pond. Big beautiful bath that easily fits two people in it.

Sadly the restaurant was not open during our stay and I feel it has been closed for quite some time which in turn makes me understand why breakfast was very lacklustre. Lucky the location is great for the night food markets which was full of delicious, well made street food.

The pool is on the smaller side but great for a quick cool off. Limited shaded options for laying by the pool.

Our stay at the Bodhi Serene Chiang Mai was fantastic! The spacious, clean rooms with a large tub and shower, plus the beautiful fountain view from the sliding door, were impressive. The staff's kindness and the consistently fresh and delicious breakfast added to the charm. The hotel's ideal location, surrounded by great street food and markets, made it even better.

What's more, the clean and refreshing pool on the 2nd floor, complete with a bar and restaurant, allowed us to enjoy a nice smoothie to stay refreshed in the heat. An outstanding hotel at an excellent price!

The hotel location is in the heart of the city. It is very easy to get around to Night Bizzare, Saturday market, and Sunday market. Lots of restaurants and close to laundry services and money exchange booth. Easy to grab tuk tuk. Alsother hotel is very clean an the staff is really friendly. Love the morning buffet selection.

This place exceeded my expectations, especially when considering the very fair (low) room rates they charge. The hotel is ideally located (can walk to restaurants and discotheque). It has a very nice swimming pool and even the standard room is generously sized and well maintained. The staff is very sweet and supportive. If you want to rent a motorbike you can rent in a shop 50m from the hotel (see my separate review of the shop).

Great vibe, feels a little more tropical than the general mountain town setting outside. Rooms are spacious and homey, good ac, nice bed, bathroom is lovely. Pool is also really nice with those infinity edges and a sneaky lil mountain view. Can’t really fault the location with the gate market a short walk away. Staff are really friendly and the price is more than reasonable. Would stay again

Located in the old town of Chiang Mia this quite hotel is a great place to stay. The breakfast is good, the rooms are nice and there is a pool to cool down in. You can walk to a lot of places and transport is easy to get. There can be some noise from the frogs at night.

This boutique hotel lives upto it's name, totally relaxed and serene. I just love the place, it's so quiet here. It's ideally placed for exploring the Temples in the Old City. It has one main swimming pool and a second very small pool. Also a very pleasant open sided lounge area overlooking the garden whose fountains provide a lovely background relaxing sound. If you want a place to just come and chill, this is it.

Had a peaceful 3 nights stay here in October 2022. I like the fact that it has its own courtyard and also in peaceful part of the old town. So we hardly hear the traffic especially the tuk Tuk that runs around the old town.

The place is dated but at that price, I won't complain. It is quite comfortable actually. In fact, we made another booking for Feb 2023 for a few nights.

As you leave the hotel, walk right and around the corner is our favourite Thai restaurant and the chabai spa. Sunday night market and other markets are all within 10 min walk.

This hotel is awesome. Very centralize of everything. I definitely recommended. We have the 2 bedroom suite and love of how much space we have. The breakfast is awesome everyday. They try to change it a little bit and is a buffet style.

From pickup at the airport to check out 3 days later the staff were very friendly at every opportunity.

Breakfast buffet available 7am - 10:30am (loved the omelette station), the pool was great (not heated) with plenty of room to swim and just chill out with a beer and cocktail.

The room was lovely, spacious and clean. House keeping were daily to change the bedding and bathroom towels.

We didn't eat at the restaurant at meal times but the menu did looked appetising.

We were very happy with our stay.

The room is at good size for 2 people. Bed is comfy and spacious for 2, look out to the garden from the room.

Great breakfast they serve here, both Asian and western style breakie options.
Quiet at night, slept very well; lively in the day. Don't like the afternoon tea that much, but it's an extra service to try and entertain us foreigners, not their culture.

Most importantly the lovely and most helpful staff and made my stay at an epic time. Had a foot injury and each of them offered anything they could to help... very touching !

Convenient location to enjoy a local feel and taste to Chiang Mai.

Beautiful hotel very friendly staff perfectly located but I give a 4 ⭐ for the room and not 5 because the shower wasn’t very hot and the bath tub I couldn’t use because of the taps wouldn’t work but I do recommend this hotel, and I would return there again

Bodhi Serene Chiang Mai Hotel are good It's not far from Chiang Mai Airport The room was good overall, and the staff was kind If I come back to Chiang Mai, I'm willing to visit Bodhi Serene again

I was very pleased with my stay here. It is peaceful, the staff all wonderful, the breakfast amazing, and the location ideal for people traveling from other countries. I forgot to mention that this hotel is a city behind walls. The decor and architecture is phenomenal! Would book here again!

Really nice little boutique hotel in Chiang Mai very busy busy tourist center these days. User base for several bike rides in the region before we head further south. Great rooms lovely grounds has a pool you can get original unique Thai dishes anytime of the day. It's quiet off the street there's a wall surrounding it so no Street noise coming in recommend I stay probably you'll enjoy it

Great value for the price. Convenient location to walk to everything in Old City, Sunday night market, and even the nearby night market. Rooms were very clean, and the staff were gracious and courteous. Breakfast buffet was a delicious treat. Airport pick up and drop off were fast and professional. Made our stay in Chiang Mai very memorable.

Absolutely wonderful hotel! Excellent location, close to coffee shops, restaurants and temples. The staff were kind and attentive. The pool was the highlight. We will stay here on our next Chiang Mai visit, hopefully very soon. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Nice Botique room, excellent service. Stayed at Bodhi three nights in June 2019. Very affordable, big bang for the buck, highly recommend. Front desk staff speak great english and are very helpful. Nice pool, Great restaurant. Security for parked cars/bikes. Beautiful place, my room was spotless, even in the tall-person places. Location is an easy walk to most of the old city and the night market.
