The most popular beach in Koh Tao as it is where most of the hotels are located as well. It is a really long beach with gorgeous blue water.

It is the perfect place to watch sunset, and the fireshows at one of the many bars in the evening. This is also the beach closest to Nang Yuan Island.

The best beach on the island! The water is crystal clear, in the morning is deep and in the evening goes all the way in. Beautiful white sand, long, plenty of bars and restaurants and in the evening is also very lively. Perfect for sunset watching, for spending all day under some palm tree. Highly recommended to stay here and if you could get a beach front bungalow- even better!

Super nice beach with everything that everyone needs. Food, cafe, bar, massage, shopping. Just about any activities you need can be find here. Beach is super white sand and shallow water. Great for kids. Lots of restaurant about 3m higher than beach makes it easy people watching. Mix and lively.

I think Sairee Beach (Sai Ri Beach) is the most popular beach on Koh Tao. The beach is over 2 kilometers long. It's not very wide so it gets crowded quite easily. Swimming options are generally medium. There are many bars and restaurants along the beach. The beach is also very crowded in the evening as Walking Street runs almost the entire length of the beach. But the beach is much more nicer than always crowded and commercialized Patong Beach in Phuket. I don't think this is my number one beach on Koh Tao, but I like the area around (and Koh Tao :-) ). The beach is the starting point for a trip to Koh Nang Yuan (recommended).

SAIREE BEACH is the main central beach of Koh Tao, and this is where you will find great beach side restaurants, clubs, bars, or just kick back and relax at the Beach. This is where you can take taxi boat to explore the island and souronding areas or islands. Make sure to catch some Wonderful sunsets at Sairee beach!!!

The water get low in the morning until afternoon. This side good to see sunset.also the bars, Restaurants and cafe they have a lot in this area all day all night.

One of the best sunsets I've ever seen. Everyday is different. To quote on quote, same place, same time but different.. can never get tired of these things you see in front of you. Always fascinated me.

Epic beach! Awesome sunset. Best to swim at hide tide but you can swim whenever.

Beautiful promenade adjacent to the beach. Lovely shops, cafes and bars. Tons of dive shops too. We walked along here twice from the main ferry port where we were staying.

The biggest beach on the island. Also no entry fee at all anywhere a long the entire stretch. Lots and lots of bars, restaurants and diving schools. Plenty of boat trips leave from here also. Taxi boats, dive boats, snorkel tours and even proper big game fishing boats. Lots of sand at low tide for beach cricket and frisbee etc etc

Beautiful beach, again not super clean, but can spend good time here. Good food options, great music, parties in the evening. Nice place to chill all day on the sun. Sunset view is breathtaking. About half an hour walking from the pier. Lots of dive schools near, hostels, hotels near by.

Great, long stretched beach. Perfect place for some sunbathing, a swim, watch the sunset or to catch a taxi boat to explore the island.

Great place to see a wonderful sunset. Spend time between 5-7 PM. It has many beautiful bars and restaurants with a sunset view.

A shame regarding the turtles though as too much human settlement has scared them away. What once was turtle island due to all the turtles is now just a name.

My favourite spot in Koh Tao for a morning walk and dip. Especially if you stay near Mae Had Pier, you can just walk to Sairee within 15-20mins. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Taxi boat is available if you want to go for a day snorkeling.
