Within 2 hours they unblocked my neck and shoulders, pressing to the points on my cheeks; and also fixed my hip that was bothering me for many years. The most effective massage I ever experienced.

They know what they‘re doing. I‘ve gotten some good help with my neck problems and massaging with the staff for 300 Baht per hour is a very fair price. I recommend going for two hours since they will be able to work with a problem more thoroughly.

Wow I'm very impressed! This is not your usual Thai massage by the street; specifically treatment deep tissue massage.
Feels like getting into a Jujitsu match, but all the stretching and pin point on acupoints were therapeutic. Extremely professional staffs, they definitely know their work👍🏼 Kudos to therapist Miss Tok: she could press on deep muscle tissue with her toes, felt like she had 4 hands!
I've been troubled by herniated spinal disc for years, they could easily identify the Cervical/Thoracic/Lumbar discs according to accurate spinal column alignment.
My advice to those with physiological injuries; don't waste your money anywhere else, just bring your X-ray films here 👍🏼

Real skilful therapeutic massage which is beneficial if you have some injury such as knee pain, back pain or neck and shoulder strain. Recommended 2 hours (600 baht) to fix your problem properly. Tell your masseuse your problem area and she'll focus on the area to work on. This is different from traditional Thai massage which is for general relaxation.

I have had many thai massages but never have I had one like this. Tak massaged me and asked what I wanted to focus on, I have had chronic pain in my hip and groin for years and she worked on this area. I now feel like I have a new hip. Thank you so much Tak, I will come back. Highly recommend 🙏🙏

I did about ten private classes with Master Suwat and his lovely assistants, covering both basic massage techniques and therapeutic ones. I also did three treatment with him: general massage, knee pain, office syndrome. I definitely hight recommend this place both for treatments and studying.

Master Suwat teaching style is very unique, explaining anatomy in detail, and also fun! The assistants are very well trained, patients, giving you precious feedback all the time.

Real medicinal Thai Massage here. It’s a massage academy and they do their training here. I’ve been looking for a proper massage place in the month I’ve been in Thailand and I’ve finally found it. A good therapist finds your ailments for you and my two sessions with Tuk had been the best therapeutic massages I’ve had in Thailand. She never asked whether I wanted harder or softer (my muscles are tight so she goes pretty hard) and I just let her do her thing. If you want to actually improve your ailments and not just a relaxing experience, then this is the best place for it.

Most massage places emphasize on high pressure but not focused massage. This place is low to medium pressure but in the exact right spaces. Extremely effective! When you get a massage here, every action they do is extremely intentional and purposeful.

As someone who gets deep tissue and Thai massages on a regular basis in the States, I can 100% recommend this as the highest quality Thai massage I've experienced.

Whether you want to experience the therapeutic side of Thai massage or to learn it, I can definitely recommend Thara Massage as one of the best places in Chiang Mai. The teacher, Ajarn Suwat, is excellent: knowledgeable, generous and fun in his way of sharing; and all his staff are thoroughly trained to help you with different physical issues. They try to make therapeutic massage available for everybody, that’s why the prices are so low! But if you can afford it, don’t forget to tip the therapists for their good work.

Anatomy-based Thai massage workshops and massages. Great for understanding the mechanics of what's going on behind the massage work. Found it incredibly enlightening after I had a taken a couple of other short massage courses where I learned massage routine but not underlying muscle mechanics.

Ajarn Suwat recommends working in massage for at least one year before taking his classes though. From what I observed in student classes, he more instructs students on what parts of the muscle chain to work on and leaves the specific implementation up to you. Still provides examples of how to work on each muscle but definitely helps to know what potential exercises to do already.

The best place in Chiang Mai for therapeutic Thai massage. Highly knowledgeable staff who can treat chronic pain and resolve old injuries. Excellent value for the price as well. My severe knee injury was cured in a two hour session.
