Cardedeu El Salvador

Perfect resort to relax at after an active few days exploring El Salvador. We rented jet skis (cheaper than they charge at home), lazed by the pool, swam in the lake that's formed in the crater of an old volcano. Beautiful. Had the best view from the best room. Service was great.

The staff are very professional and attentive. Carlos was awesome. He was very polite and informative. This hotel is much bigger than it seemed but they offer golf cart rides from one side to the other once requested. They are pretty fast. The restaurant prices are a little on the high side but the quality of food is worth the cost. The view of this place is breathtaking. Great location to see a sunrise. You also have access to swim in the lake as well.

Great location. Fantastic service. Great food. Outstanding views!! No safes in the rooms. Our room was always open due to the sliding door didn't lock. A little unnerving.

We had a very pleasant experience at Cardadeu Lago de Coatepeque. We especially loved the view from our suite, the rooms up top have nicer views and are more intimate. The suites are relaxing in their little enclave and very private. The food is very good and the staff very nice and helpful. We loved the jet ski on the lake, it was a lot of fun and they included free kayaks during your stay. I have a recommendation that they improve the conditions of the suites since things are falling apart and the room is very old. We booked a second room for our family on the first side facing the lake and they were much nicer and newer. We would still return and would love to see if the hotel updates to the suites in the future.

Location is great. Right on the lake. We stayed at the lakefront and it was recently renovated. Small beach area shared with the water sport rental area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Had a nice bathroom with shower and tub but could use a little more lighting. Balcony with seats overlooking the lake. You can actually see the lake from bed.
The lakefront restaurant was very good. We ate most meals there. Kids like the pizzas and the burger was really good. We also ate a La Pampa in the other part of the hotel (not directly lake front) and the steaks were great. Drinks were done right as well. They do have a shuttle that takes you between properties which is a nice touch.
Lastly, the manager of the hotel was so welcoming and friendly. The staff was great overall.

What a place! Amazing is an understatement. Rooms were great but what makes this place special is the staff! They go out of their way to make sure you’re having amazing time! My first time there and I’m definitely going back!

Recently attended an event at Cardedeu and beautiful is an understatement. Although we didn't stay at the hotel, the staff went out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of and have amazing time! Mr Carlos was extremely kind, patient and helpful throughout my stay in lake Coatepeque! Gracias! Not only did he help with transportation but showed me around the area in a very detailed fashion!

Very nice hotel, beautiful rooms on the beach side (I can't speak to the other section of the property up the hill). Very clean and well kept rooms.

This hotel was one of the best I stayed at during my trip to El Salvador. I’m sad that not many people know about it because they are missing out. The location, the view, and the atmosphere of this is amazing.

Beautiful place to stay and relax. Manger was VERY helpful in resolving Expedia's system error. Expedia didn't want to refund incorrect booking, they kept saying the hotel didn't want to release the room, but that was not, so bc I had been in communication with Hotel staff and manager, and they were willing since day 1. Once the manager resolved this matter, we enjoyed everything the place, pool ,food garden, music, etc.

One of the most amazing event venues I've visited in El Salvador... everything was great, location, views, decor, catering, etc, etc... simple, elegant, intimate... really nice!!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The view was beautiful of the lake and we loved having an infinity pool at our back door overlooking the lake. While the food at La Pampa was good as always, the service and really delicious ceviche at the hotel bar more memorable. The bar manager, Orlando, went above and beyond to help us, even allowing us to use his fridge to store our wines. And when la Pampa failed to have lobster twice in a row even though is on their menu, Orlando went yet again above and beyond for us and made our night eventful and comfortable. We recommend this hotel, you can’t beat the views, amenities, and yummy comida at this location. Muchas gracias por todos Cardedeu Hotel!

Location, location, location. The hotel is in the crater of a volcano where there is a lake now. The view of the lake from the hotel gorgeous.

I took my Dominican wife to El Salvador and I was trying to impress her and Cardedeu did it... This place is a must visit while in el Salvador. Very clean and safe. Amazing views of Lago de Coatepeque.

Restaurant had a beautiful view of the lake. Great food and they were very accommodating in making us a plate of vegetables as a vegetarian option. Freindly staff.

Such a beautiful hotel. Lovely pools, and delicious drinks by Douglas! Will be back & recommend this place!
