Captain Morgan Hostel

My family stayed at Captain Morgan Hostel for one night. When we arrived, they were very friendly and welcoming! We had two deluxe rooms and they were very nice with awesome balcony views! Their customer service is great! Daniel, the head of staff, is very kind and attentive! They had a menu with a variety of food and their drinks were superb! And the location was amazing! Such a beautiful view of the lake! We had so much fun there! My family and I would definitely come back here!

We had the great privilege of staying at Captain Morgan Hostel this past weekend and already can't wait to return. The Deluxe Suite was extremely comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities for a pleasant stay. The lake view from its glass door was stunning and so enjoyable.
The hotel, bar, and restaurant personnel were all incredibly kind and welcoming. The tropical-like ambience, chill music, and food all made for a great time. Oh not to mention, the adorable pup, Kiara, that walks around the facilities to greet you every now and then. Overall, we felt right at home, and can't wait to go back!

Great experience swimming and drinking with the day pass! $5 but you get a specific beer or water for it. Parking was so weird haha, locals will help you park and it's $5-$10

Captain Morgan is a very cozy place. The staff is super accommodating and friendly. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel at home and to accommodate your needs. They have good quality jet skies that you could rent. The place is also pet friendly 🐶. I definitely recommend this place for the day or to spend the night. Can’t wait to visit them again. Thank you all, for the amazing experience!

Good location, lots of fun and chill with a pilsener on hand , if you are a back packer or a regular traveler check this place out you won’t regret.

A great place to visit for the day - or to spend a few nights.

Jump right into the fresh lake water and enjoy the sunny weather! That's what I did!

The staff is very helpful and works hard to give a great experience. The restaurant has a very ample choice of dishes to choose from.

Amazing and tropical ambiance, drinks and sea food are the must here, beautiful pool and relaxed culture. Bring your tent ⛺ and enjoy the sky at night. Friendly locals and live music all week.

This hostel is exceptional. It has an amazing bar and everyone who works there is incredibly friendly. The bar overlooks the lake and you can dive right off the side into the water. There are swings, pools and a giant floating tiki bar that has a motor attached to it and you can go around the lake while you have some drinks. If you’re looking for a late night spot in Coatepeque, this is definitely it. They stay open much later then the other bars, 12 p.m., but it’s still a laid back atmosphere. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone we know.

Such a lovely and calm place! Great view, food is good, staff is sooooo friendly! Clean and not expensive. We loved it so much.

Great hostel. Fernando the reception was soo kind. I got in a bike accident and he fixed me up and helped me our made sure I was alright and checked up on me for hours after. Couldn't recommend this hostel enough

Thelma and Daniel took care of us and the service was excellent! We stayed in a garden room which had a great price point and was comfy. We saw the upstairs privates which had ensuite and a balcony...they were beautiful and we will probably stay in them next time. They also have dorms and camping available.

The view and atmosphere is just perfect. It's right on the lake so we enjoyed swimming and jumping from the deck. We had traditional breakfast and it was delicious. The views were to die for.

We've traveled a lot and I have this is our new favorite place in El Salvador. We will definitely be back!

Very nice place by a beautiful lake. I highly recommend this place to travelers looking to spend a few days in a warm atmosphere in nature.

Had only the daypass but it was very cool. You can jump from the platforms, swim in the lake, rent kayak/jetski. Food is very good!

We were greeted by Daniel. He is very friendly and outgoing. Always ready to serve. Daniel went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. Loved the view. The weather is awesome. Bathrooms are clean. They have showers and their wifi was good. Great place so book in advance cuz their rooms sell out fast!! Thank you captain Morgan for the great memories!

This was my best hostal in El Salvador best place to stay at the lake. I stayed in dorm room that was quite good for me I didn’t have any problem there. On weekdays it quite and peaceful you can chill out there not much people but on weekends it can be noisy for some people because there is music till 2am in the morning but for me it was good. I made a lot of good friends there. I recommend you this place for stay. If you don’t want want to eat in the hostal because it’s expensive then you can go to nearby Pupusas lady just 200M walk from Hostal.

This is my 4th time or so visiting. I was actually celebrating my 30th and had 25 friends parked next door at Xtreme and my family over at Captain from Thursday to Sunday. The staff was great nothing but friendly and accommodating. I can’t say the same thing about the white man who seems to run the reception. He’s definitely in the wrong industry if he thinks he’s showing good customer service skills. Overall it felt like it was an inconvenience for him to check me in. Mind you I had almost every room rented. Again, the rest of the staff and kiara were great. Someone give that staff a raise bc those boys go above and beyond. See you guys next time!

An excellent holiday to celebrate anniversary and a birthday staff were helpful and friendly. Got to meet many nationalities comfortable rooms, good food and excellent location. Is a simple joy to go. Will come back again.
