a wonderful hotel, clean, comfortable, everything you need is there. The staff is very friendly, attentive and helps with various issues, not only for rest in the hotel. the breakfasts are very tasty, the portions are large, a variety of options. The food is suitable for both adults and children. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend the ciorbe tripe soup.

A super fast dinner. The wait time is almost nonexistent. It is very crowded, BUT after a 5 minute wait time you will get a table. The food is great, huge portions (especially the soups). Very fast service, the waiters are always on the run, I don't know how can they keep up. Will come back for sure.

Probably one of the best restaurant in romania that serves "cioarba de burta"

We loved eating here during our vacation in Sibiu! It has very local atmosphere, the meals are house made and delicious and the prices are very low. Yet we felt welcome as tourists and the staff were always happy to find someone who speaks English to assist us with choosing the right meal. They serve a delicious vegetarian meal with rice, potatoes, mushrooms and vegetables. My boyfriend loved the belly soup (he keeps calling it extraordinary) and he also had a chicken roll which was nice as well.

The best restaurant/eatery in town where you can serve tripe soup. They also have many other Romanian traditional dishes, very tasty and well cooked. The prices are similar to the ones in the city center (which is a bit too much as you are outside the city center but food is good so it worth trying it).

Best "Ciorba de burta" in Romania. It is their signature meal, so don't miss it. Portions are huge and they serve you straight from the pot.

This place is with the best traditional romanian food from Sibiu. The terrace is not a stylish one but good to eat outside.
Food it is just amazing, with a good taste and a good looking
Price are very low, like 7-17 lei a soup or 15-25 lei a meal like meat and a side.

So if you want to eat super cheap and super tasty in Sibiu this is the place!

2023 UPDATE: Still amazing tripe soup, friendly staff and good vibe from construction workers, tourists and family eating together with large smiles and cheerful chatter.

The setting is still lacking and resembles a kitschy train station in eastern Europa cca. 1950.

Preparing good food for large crowds is not an easy task, but the staff is sure to have a full restaurant from opening hours (sometimes there is a que formed here even before then) until they run out of tripe soup (one of the best you can eat in Romania).

Really good food and cheap (which is rare these days). The service is top notch.

A nice cozy place, intimate, very good food, tasty, good prices, the service is exceptional. I would definitely come back anytime.
The area is quiet and they also have rooms for rent there.

While the service has the normal downsides that often come with restaurants that seem aimed at locals, the food is the most authentic I've found in any of the restaurants in the cities I've been to in my two week vacation. It is well seasoned and comes in generous proportions. The value for money is what gets 5 stars for me.

They have the best soup I every had (tripe sour soup). Every single time i go to Sibiu, at the end of the day this is the place i end up to. The service is fast and food is good. Even if you don't like the soup they have a lot of good Romanian food.

2023 UPDATE: After so many years, Kon Tiki is still one of the best local restaurants in Sibiu. With affordable prices, very good and authentic dishes and a friendly staff , it remains my preffered place to eat.
Its amazing "ciorba de burta" is well known in town but other dishes too are well accepted by my family despite their "eating issues" (ceafa afumata la gratar, ciorba de perisoare, papanasi).

One of the few places in Sibiu open early. The nice lady who owns the place, is a granny all of us wanted but few had. Freshest bread, coffee on tap, textured mashed potato, home mad prune plum preserve, ham, fluffy butter, all the components of a great breakfast. We loved the preserve so much that bought some of it (I still think we underpaid big time.) Communication in Romanian or German only, but magic words like "omelette" and "pork" and "salata" will get you there.

Undisputed king of "ciorba de burta" hands down. Been eating here every time I pass through Sibiu for the past 20 years. Easily #1

Awesome, proper Balkan cuisine after being fed pseudo-western food in Bucharest. Full of locals, which tells you how good It is!
