Crama Sibiană

We had an amazing experience in this restaurant. The owner was really accomodating and immediately found us a table in this cozy and isolated corner of the restaurant; the atmosphere was amazing and we really appreciated the architecture. The food was tasty and we enjoyed the dessert too, and the service was great. We'll definitely be back.

This restaurant is located at the small square of Sibiu and it has a typical Romanian cuisine mainly focusing on different types of meat and fish. However, it has various options for vegetarians and vegan too.
We ordered a cold cut’s platter to share as a start along local beer, wine and gin tonic. Platter was very fresh and quite decent in size too.
As a main course we took the server’s advice and ordered a beef stew (mildly spicy) and a sarmale (rolled cabbage leaves stuffed with pork meat). Both meals were delicious and we fully recommend this restaurant. Prices are slightly higher than other restaurants. However, for the quality of food and service, it is surely worth visiting while in such a small, yet beautiful town Sibiu.

Nice atmosphere in this old cellar made into a subterranean restaurant. Food and wine is good, service is good and it suits couples as well as groups. Little bit more expensive than your normal family-owned restaurant in the side streets, but worth a visit.

We really enjoyed it, sadly they didn't have the lamb knuckle available but we still enjoyed what we ordered. We were the only guests downstairs

The food was very good, the service perfect and fast.

We've had a goulash soup and a tripe broth topped with a digestive "țuică" and "afinată".

We went for the underground tables. The setup was very cozy and inviting. All was good!

Lunch here was awesome - starting with the very friendly and accommodating staff that greeted us, moving on to the excellent beer and even more amazing food. Everything was fresh and very tasty, the portions were huge. If you want to try something traditionally Romanian, I highly recommend this place.

Excellent experience with delicious Romanian traditional food while playing Romanian traditional music and with Romanian traditional artefacts on the walls. Best way to experience Romanian culture and cuisine. Totally recommend it.

Even if this restaurant is located in a very touristic side of Sibiu, you can have great food with traditional Romanian recipes at reasonable price. Highly recommended!!!

Excellent food, complete variety of Romanian food and alcoholic drinks. Good and fast service, went there several times. It became the favorite place in Sibiu for lunch and dinner !

This might be a rather longer review, but after a week in the beautiful Sibiu, i can easily say this is the best place ive experienced. We came back 3 times, having to admit that we usually don't follow reviews, and every single time the food was just exceptional. They could work a bit more on the service side, but compared to other places, we cant complain.It seems there is a bit of an online vendetta going on, based on the amount of reviews which we read today, but our own experience with nearly all the other places around was just great, so we are definitely recommending further.

Had dinner here in the basement/cellar - be sure to go down the stairs, it just has so much more character than the terrace or the ground floor. Food was traditional style Romanian and it is really good. Portions are large and prices are good. Wait staff was friendly and efficient.

Don't be fooled by the touristy central location and the ostentatious exterior. Inside we found the most amazing food and wine coupled with flawless service. The goulash in bread is stunning and salt baked fish is so fresh and tender it busts away from the bones. The best place in Sibiu to enjoy the sunset as it falls over the roofline while you savour the environment.

Largest, juiciest mici I've had lately, grilled to perfection. Incredibly reasonable price too. The fries were also great, hand-made, crispy and tender, just like my mother makes them, none of those frozen fries you come across in most places. Staff was nice, position of the place is lovely. 10/10 would return.

The place was amazing beautiful, " Crama Sibiană" has awesome traditional beautiful place and there foods was really delicious and customer support was excellent I'm happy to give them five Stars.

Very tasty Romanian food! We tried soup with meatballs (ciorba de perisoare) and then mici with rustic potatos. Definitely recommended place.

The food is very good, we got a dinner for 2 persons and the portion was really big. The waiter was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant outside. We didn't eat inside because we wanted to smoke.

We sat outside. Great service, they clearly care about the customer experience. We had a whole trout appetizer, eggplant salad, and the mushroom stew polenta. All solid dishes with rich flavor. You can tell that there is heart to the food. Will be back…today actually.
