I stopped for a coffee and soft drink, 1 hour hiking for some great views of Cheile Vălişoarei.

We stopped there for a lunch that was served on a terrace overlooking the gorgeous view. The soups that we ordered were ok worth the money. However we thought that the potential of this place is not yet realized. It could be of a much higher level. Similar to the restaurant at the Hunter Prince Castle & Dracula Hotel in Turda where we had our best meals of the whole trip to Romania.

I have visited a few (more) places within Romania and I can say what I expect to get and what are the standards a hotel/ pension should meet for ensuring a great experience.
This place really fulfilled my expectations on all the points which matter.
- The food was delicious, everything was very fresh and tasty. I have no complains here.
- The drinks (alcoholic but not only) were on my taste, I really enjoyed the cocktails - this comes from a cocktail usual drinker :)
- Very clean and tidy, I have found the confort I expected inside the room;
- The medieval decor is as good as advertised - really well done, to ensure the atmosphere. I also loved the outiside yard and the place with benches and roof outside. It looks perfect for teambuildings, family time or romantic escapes.
- They have an antique library which is also really great and adds up to the entire setting;
- Very nice and amiable personnel (waiters, servers), I appreciated all their work and implication.
Considering that the place is quite secluded, it is highly appreciated that you can find there everything you'd find in a hotel/ pension inside the town. You get as bonus a fantastic view, giving the rocks which are surrounding the castle.
BONUS - They have a dog, named Rex which is simply lovely and friendly with all the tourists. They have a painting of him and I also appreciate this, as an animal lover.

Very nice and cosy place. Had lunch here. Traditional Romanian cuisine. In your way to visit the surroundings, you can have a bite or you can book a room for night!

We had a lovely lunch, the food was good, the staff very friendly. The view is absolutely beautiful. They have chair for babies which is s big plus.

Unique experience.... We loved it in the staff was great food was awesome...

We only had lunch and we did not expect to eat such good food.

The place needs some TLC but I recommend you give it a shot hopefully you will have the same experience as we have.

The owner was kind enough to make some food for the six of us even though she had a special event going on. While the castle is not renovated just yet, it is one of a kind, it is a castle for templiers (at least according to the legend) in an area where king Michael served his time in the military. That region was also at the border of the austro-hungarian empire so there were militarized crossing points all around the valley. From a geographical standpoint, the gorges are otherworldly and the castle right in the middle of it all gives you chills down your spine

A historical establishment a hotel and restaurant. Very nice rooms with a flavor of medieval times, you can eat here. There are just a few rooms the reason is that it is under reconstruction.

Great place to stay and visit. Also great hiking spots in this area. Plenty to see. Also very friendly staff!!!

Amazing view! At the time I was there, work was in progres, but the result will be amazing for sure!

The castle look amazing from outside, we were not hungry so we stopped just to take a couple of pictures and enjoy the nature.

Food is good but not exceptional.The place is nice and when it will be fully finished will look very interesting.Thr offer parking.

Good food, nice view and the place where you can do several hiking trails.

A perfect place to make a pit stop, eat and drink. Still under cunstruction but a I recomand it to everyone how are passing near by.
