A decent place, nicely decorated, perfect for a cold winter's day with a fireplace where the wood crackles as it burns. The dishes are from the Romanian kitchen, nothing spectacular but a perfect place for an honest meal without great pretensions. The service is impeccable, reasonable prices, we received a palinca or a vicinata from the house, basically it was a nice evening. Recommended.

We came in for some romanian food. I must say they met our expectations more than enough. First we ordered two lemonades, then we ordered a small traveler's plate along with "shut up and swallow" dish (classic romanian food). The combination was exactly what we've expected, with good proportions. After 2 failed restaurants, this one hit the spot perfectly. Friendly and prompy staff with good food 👍🏽

It was a beautiful evening. Friendly waiters, great food (I highly recommend the trout) and a beautiful ambiance where we ate in the cellar. I don't have a clue why anyone would complain about this place.

The food was very good, so if you want to try true Romanian dishes, you should definitely go there. On the downside, the English version of the meno wasn't good.

Went yesterday evening after a friend recommended me their sarmale and I was definitely not disappointed! The staff is very friendly and nice, food is good, prices are very affordable. Nothing beats the amazing view of Piata Mare with a steaming plate of romanian food in front of you

You want real food? You found it. And by real I mean natural and exquisitely cooked. Even the breaded cheese (cascaval pane) is another kind of good. Cooked cabage? Pork? Melts like butter in your mouth. Yes, they indeed use local products. Someone complained about the "papanasi", saying they are just dumplings. Well, dear fellow reviewer, THESE are some bad *** "papanasi", not the oil filled semi-burned heavy-flour mockery you are probably used to. This is another way of making a well-known dish, that DIFFERS from one region to another throughout the country and is BY FAR the best I've tasted . And if you come here during the summer and cannot enjoy the real fireplace with real wood burning and crackling, please take into account that the service cannot be instantaneous. Have some patience, this is not a fast food place, nor a terrace that serves freezed products. This is a real restaurant, with - I cannot say this enough times - real food, the kind that the fortunate amongst us get to enjoy at our grandmothers' home 🙂 Big thanks!

When it comes to local cuisine , Zestrea is one of the best if not the best place to taste 100% bio products from the surroundings of Sibiu.
You might be surprised by the taste of the products since they do not contain any form of chemicals.
Even when it comes to the prices , for what they offer it’s impossible not to be amazed by their low prices .
I’ve eaten “Virsli de la Marpod” , more specifically ,goat sausages .
They were exactly how I remember from what my grandpa used to make, and let’s be frank , for around 4€ you get 5 sausages that are 100% bio, it would be foolish to let this chance to slip, love to Dacian and Andrada <3
