Great hidden gem in Sibiu. Just 200 meters walk from the big square. Yet, very known place on Google and it never disappoints to be here. My favorite: fish (trout=albota), 3 kinds like with winesauce or in corncrust.

This was one of the best places I ate in Rumania. We came late at night and they took us, we also repeated at the next day for lunch.

Meat was incredible: T-Bone and entrecot. Also pasta and the pans are a perfect choice.

A very nice place in Sibiu. The place has Germany interior. The menu is available in German and in English, which is very good. We had tea, cheese plate and soups. The chicken soup was simple, the goulash soup was more spicy/thick. We had better soup in Tree houses village, on our way to Sibiu from Bucharest. Thus, I rate the food 4 stars. Otherwise, very nice place 😊

Very nice place, in an old and elegant building downtown Sibiu. Very tasty and not expensive food, decent service. We had a smoked trout salad and an angus goulash saxon style. Very good local beer.

We are guests for more than 10 years, and we were never disappointed, or not satisfied with the service. 🥂
So if you’re looking for real traditional German food, in the city, which is very much considered as one of the most German cities in Romania.
You should definitely try this restaurant!

Very important to consider is the parking situation, it’s very hard to get a parking right next to the restaurant.
I really recommend you to park a little bit outside the old town.

This is very nice restaurant, colorful painted with an old style furniture in it. Food was very good, soup and desert specifically. Staff was very polite and nice also, but just one of them can speak English so this is were they should make some improvement. Place is good to bring children also because they have menu specific for them. Toilets are very clean.

Cool place! The food is heavier, but it's very tasty and there are many options in the menu. I got the pork with sweet potatos

The food was exceptionally delicious, and the portions were very satisfying. The interior was well-designed and cozy. The waitstaff was competent.

We had trout as a main which was really good. Nice and calm ambiance. We also tried the Transylvania Saxon wine which was good and refreshing. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Romania!

The location is amazing! Looks really traditional and well preserved! The food was clearly made from fresh products and tasted amazing! The staff was lovely, the main waitress was wearing traditional clothes which made the experience even better! There's a slot of variety in the menu so I would highly recommend to try this place!

- fried fish with mustard crust is my favourite, also the fresh salad as side dish was really nice
- fried fish with polenta- really traditional in Romania, a more classic dish, but also really good
- desert: home made Hencles- not too sweet, it was just right

Very charming place with a lovely interior terrace. Excellent service and well prepared food. The prices are affordable and definitely worth the quality of the dishes.

The food here is absolutely delicious, everything is sourced from the Albota farms - I highly recommend the trout which melts in your mouth, and basically anything else on the menu as it all tastes homemade. Try the Apple strudel with walnut ice cream for desert, you won’t be disappointed.

I have known about this place for many years, but somehow never tried it. It was a really nice surprise. The menu is inspired by the dishes of the Transylvanian Saxons and I must say that everyone enjoyed their dishes. I particularly liked the dessert - hencles (also a recipe well known around Sibiu). Very nice atmosphere, lovely terrace and very good prices also. Service was a bit slow, but still friendly.

Excellent service, tasty fish dishes and the place is decorated with such a good taste. Really recommend this place, don't miss it!

Great food, i highly recommend Gulas, is one of the best I ever eat in Romania. The fireplace is also fantastic, the fire was burning right to us all the time we sat inside the restaurant. The local syrups are fresh and tasty!

Hermania is a must eat restaurant. Their food comes 80% a farm nearby. You can taste the difference. Romanian tradition meets german cuisine. Very delicious food and delightful ambiente.

Cozy restaurant in the old town of Sibiu. The family owns a farm with different animals and trout, hence good quality home grown meat and vegetables served.

Nice place, good traditional food ( I had Angus “gulas” with polenta), friendly staff. Food ingredients are coming from own farms. They also have a shop where you can buy their delicious products.
