The State Philharmonica of Sibiu

We went to the roof this time for an Ada Milea concert. It was a great setup for an evening concert. They also served some drinks before/during the concert.

The place was nicely decorated with lights, the sound was great.

I would go there again!

I"ve got there during the film festival so it was a lively atmosphere. Great to see the underground bar with all the medieval defense elements! There a live music show at the entrance, great performance by the Pipers of Transylvania!

Beautiful place. Would have preferred the seating to be a bit differently planned because if there is a tall person in front of you, he will block your vision

I was here for a stand-up comedy show and it was pretty great. The room is very clean and sound excellent.

Music transcend any physical location. This was a marvelous experience. I applaud this orchestra!! Thank you for a magical experience.

Very clear sounding hall. If there are drums on the stage, they will sound quite loud so it would not be the best place for pop/rock concerts. For classical music and jazz, the room sounds very good.

An elegant, historic building, est. in 1788, with the main scene located inside the Thick Tower, a very peculiar and interesting architecture. It has and gives what any Philarmonics building should have.

The restauration work done during the tenure of Mr. Guttmann as chief architect of Sibiu is exceptional. I went there several times, mainly for the Astra documentary film festival.

High quality orchestra. Must see (hear) if you do visit Sibiu.

Just marvelous.

The Thalia Concert Hall is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. It was built in 1788 and reopened in 2004. It is the State Philharmonics and hosts diiferent concerts multiple times a week. The hall is connected with the Thick Tower (Turnul Gros). Inside, the hall has an imperial style and has seats distributed on three floors. The hall does not only host concerts, but also theatre plays.

Returned at Thalia Hall for a ballet show and completely enjoyed it. Elegant building, inside architecture are remarkable.

A very nice place to go and a blessing to soul. If you like simphonic music, then this is a place to not be missed.

Beautiful building next to the old town. I really enjoyed the time when I was there. I recommend it.
