Balea Bus - Transfers to Transfagarasan and Balea Lake

The service offered by Carpathian Travel Center takes you from Sibiu to Balea Lake, great for a day of hiking and stunning mountain scenery

Easy way to go at Balea Lake just book your ticket online and be there at 09:00. Seems to be the only way to get there. They even called me to make sure I'd find them.

I do recommend this service. We were group of 9 people going from Sibiu to Balea Lac and there was no regular connection so they arranged private transfer for us. We had complications during our traveling to Sibiu and had big delay because of missed transfer train. One call and they postponed the departure about 7 hours. Thank you!

Florin is the perfect host for the transfagarasan transport. The Balea bus company is very well organised just make sure you are on time and don't disrespect the departure times set by the company.
Florin is an expert when it comes to knowledge of the area, he had answers for every question I asked which was perfect. I believe this is the best private way to visit the transfagarasan after much research. I definitely recommend using the Balea bus transfer and hope you get Florin as the driver.

Unfortunately, it was very foggy the day that I went and I couldn’t see anything. I was the only one on the bus that day. The driver was very good and nice. Check the weather and go in the summer! Also, be aware that there are bears in the area and people have been feeding them.

Die Fahrt von Sibiu zur CabelCar-Station Lac Balea war gut. Der Fahrer hat seinen Job gemacht. Stand pünktlich am verabredeten Parkplatz. Es ist m.W. die einzige Möglichkeit dieses Shuttle zu nutzen, wenn man kein eigenes Auto hat, da es keine Verbindung mit öffentl. Bussen dorthin gibt. Preis für 65€ hin/zurück erscheint etwas teuer. Abfahrt nur MO, MI, FR um 09:00 ab Sibiu und 16.30 ab CableCar Balea Lac.

The driver was constantly using his phone while driving. He was also driving irresponsibly and over the speed limit. On the way back he was over 1h late. The price isn’t adequate to the service.

Unprofessional personnel, very expensive trip and one of the worst booking system. For those who don't speak Romanian : this is not a tour bus, is just a transfer from Sibiu to Balea Waterfall, from where you have to take the cable car to Balea Lake.

Seriously overpriced, would give 0 stars if I could
