Very nice little place that you do not easily stumble across. You have to know it is there as it is the basement of a residential house. The service is rustic and the food is home made and absolutely fantastic. Prices are very ok. Note: non smoking (not even iqos).

A gem of a place, with very delicious food, and helpful staff. We had the pork sour soup (a must), shared a pork nuckle, with mashed potatoes and some cheese croquettes. They don't accept card, so be prepared, and it gets busy around 7pm, might have to wait for a table then. Very good prices!

Best traditional Romanian food in Sibiu. It is not easily acessible, but it is worth taking a taxi or driving there. It is also very fairly priced.

I recommend you go for the Ciorba de Burta "Tripe Soup", that comes with sour cream, garlic sauce and hot peppers. The portions are very generous; after you are served the bowl of soup stays on the table, so you will get about 1.5 portions.

Other dishes are also great, like grills and "Schnitzel". For desert, I can recommend "Papanasi", they are also one of the best I have ever tasted.

The restaurant is not a fancy place, few tables inside, modest design, always a lot of customers, but for sure the food is great, it is clean and the service is good, at a very good price.

Definitely, the place to go when you are hungry, and want to eat. It worth it! Better to call ahead to make a reservation.

Great Romanian traditional food. Even though the staff cannot speak English, the menu is in English. A little bit oily, but really tasty. Fast service and cheap prices.

Until today I was a "kontiki" type of guy... Now I found the best place for the soup. Small place with few tables (you might need to wait a bit) but it is totally worth it. The food quantity in the dishes is above the average... And the quality also. Fast service and affordable prices. Ciorba de burta it's really tasty.

For what it is it is the best in Sibiu. A restaurant for the locals, amazingly well done food, with a few specialties that ensures that locals keep coming back. If you know you enjoy tribe soup this is the place to visit. As well i would recommend it as a sightseeing stop to enjoy the actual life of romanians.

Good food, decent portions, quite cheap and popular among locals. Just not as good as expected by other reviews. I love the basement locals like this. I give it 4.5 stars of 5.

This is the place to be when you want to have the best "ciorba de burta" in the whole area of Sibiu! Portions are more than enough, fresh bread, tasty sour cream, traditionalism ar its best. Not a fancy place though, worth while for sure!

I am a local from Sibiu and I am writing this review for all the tourists and travelers who want to go of the beaten track and try the best local food. It certainly is not a fancy restaurant, but for sure the food is great, it is clean and the service is good, and the prices are cheap.

If you think you are still hungry after the soup go for "Mixtgrill Prima" which is a collection of pork, beef, and chicken grill with fries, is is delicious and it costs around 4.5 EUR for 425g.
As desert I recommend the traditional "Papanasi", which are cheese dumpling, served with sour cream and cranberries jam.
To get there, from the city center is a 20 minute walk, or you can simply take a taxi, to be sure you don't get lost, it should not cost more than 8 lei, less than 2 EUR.
Unfortunately the waiters do not speak foreign languages very well, but are certainly nice, and I am sure you will have a good time.

A small family run restaurant popular among the locals. Leave the beaten tourist tracks and you'll be to only foreigner here. Traditional Romanian food at decent prices. Sometimes people queue outside to get a table.
