Monsieur Joben

My Romanian friend advised me to try the Papanassi here, because they are boiled rather than made in the usual manner. And I loved them! I know others have said they didn't like the boiled ones, but it is a matter of taste. I enjoyed them. I live in Denmark and these have a similar consistency to rum balls, but are not so overly sweet. Also must mention, the service was very friendly here.

Update: it's a few days later, and I had the opportunity to try the fried version of Papanassi in another town, and I have to say that the boiled version I had here is much more to my liking. They are really good. One must just be aware that the boiled Papanassi is like a different dish than the fried version. I so miss the Monsieur Joben version!

We came to this restaurant hungry and thirsty, we are not disappointed! Everything was amazing service food drinks. Servers are very tentative and are aware of everything that you might or want for your food. 10/10 will come back next year! Raluca was our server ask for her when you come!

We arrived so late at this restaurant, i think we wore the only one table at that hour.

The waitress was kind enough to serve us with smile on.

The food was amazing, i’m telling you. And the “papanasi” … unique. Super good unique taste.

Loved also the joben cocktail.

Friendly, competent staff, nice atmosphere and great food, very fair prices. Everything tasted just perfect. A delight for the eyes and tastebuds. We searched for traditionally homemade “papanași” everywhere in the city, this place was the only one to have them and they were just like I remembered them from my childhood in Sibiu. Highly recommend this place, it’s worth every penny.

Me and my husband had no expectations. Seen the 3,7 * rating after we sat down. We had great service with a smile and our food was great. Burger with fries and Greek salad also Lamm chops with fries. Two cuic 🍺. Perfect last meal in Rumania for us.

Excellent service. We arrived here on a busy hour (20:00 pm), although it was crowded, the waiter was more than prompt, polite, he served us quickly. We ordered a pizza and a lava cake and we had some delicious drink (exotic lemonade, whiskey, tonic gin). We decided to take away the pizza to eat it in our room. Unfortunately I did not take a photo of the lava cake but it was delicious and the plating was to die for. I recommend this place!

The service was excellent, the waiter very friendly and got us in a good mood. Also the place was not that crowded.

The food is amazing, ribs are soft and juicy. The lamb ciolan is wonderful with mouthwatering garlic sent.French rack is delicious.The waiters are hospitable and very positive.The location is the heart of Sibiu.really recommended to visit!

The food is a delight, try the fish and the english breakfast. The chef must be a pretty damn good cook because I was surprised by both the texture and the flavours. And the prices aren't bad either!

Great service and food. The surf and turf was delicious. Andrew the waiter helped me recover my credit card from underneath the patio when it fell out of my hands. Was a huge help!

From fish soup, to pizza, spaghetti, romanian dishes is excellent

I came here twice and me and my friends tried different things. The pastas are very good, same is the pizza, the pork ribs, and the "boiled papanasi" were a pleasent surprise. Staff well trained and nice and cozzy place.

I had the best tasting papanaşi at this place! It is not tipical that you can find everywhere in Romania but it is special for that region looking similarly to cheese cake but sooo much better!

Nice menu, different than what you find in Sibiu. The only restaurant in Sibiu wich has cannolo siciliano, an excellent italian dessert.You should try it! Also the service was very friendly and fast, even if the terrace was full.

Nice and friendly staff,very fast service,delicious food and more important:respecting and promoting social distance,sanitizing all areas constantly and every memeber of staff was wearing the face mask even on 35°! Well done guys 💯👏🏻✌🏻
