Restaurant Medieval Unglerus

Delicious food, beautiful location & helpful staff. We were a party of 16 traveling through Romania, picked this lovely place for dinner. Upon reservation, the restaurant suggested sending the meal choices a day in advance using WhatsApp because of a festival happening in the village, which we did. When we arrived, the beautiful medieval tables were ready for us, the food was served in an acceptable period all at once, and it tasted very good. The waitress was very helpful and kind. We had a wonderful time there, I recommend this place very much!

We popped in here for lunch after visiting the fortified church. Last time we just had tea but this time we ate. Has good beer, great liver, and traditional meals. Lovely service too.

We came in a very busy weekend where one of the owners kindly welcomed us in. The restaurant was nicely decorated with sturdy oak dining area accompanied with well sized food portions and the “papanasi” desert just topped it up. Overall the experience was beyond my expectations for such a remote place like Biertan!

We loved the restaurant, the decorations, the menu and the food. It was a very nice experience altogether. The staff was lovely and engaged, the ciorba (traditional soups) were flavorful and delicious, the meat dishes also super tasty and even though the restaurant was packed and we were a party of 16 (!), the food came really fast and everyone was satisfied. I all recommend the place - Thanks so much for the wonderful time!

Good food and nice place

Very good food! Everything we tried (and we came back, so we tried a lot!) was amazing! The only downside is that the serving can be slow at times.

I've seen some bad reviews of this place, so I decided to test it out. The food was really good, service was good and the atmosphere was nice. I guess if you're looking for a good time you can find it, same goes for a bad time :)

Lovely place, nice staff, big portions. Vegetarians can make a good meal from the many side dishes!

Everything was perfect! The food, the waitress, the view (near the citadel). The interior is nice and with a thematic, but we stood outside because the weather was warm. I would recommend this place to everyone! Good job guys!

We payed 10 euros for lunch/person with soup, main course and soft drink
- had to wait 20 minutes for a free table on terrace even if we stayed on their pension because all tables were occupied. We recomand to book a table before if you want to serve lunch

Excellent selection of local cuisine (and English translation). Seated at the base is the Citadel in Biertan. Great staff and service. Beautiful location!

Romanian Traditional food. Nice Girls serving the food. Beautiful Castle/ Fortress Church. Medieval an Gothic atmosphere in Real Transilvania

Excellent lunch, food was well cooked and portions generous.

We stayed in Unglerus and Thomas Pension and we had dinner and lunch here. The serving was great and the food remembered my childhood. I highly recomand this restaurant.
