Mar's Bar and Bistro

Delicious small restaurant serving ribs, burgers and many more lovingly prepared items. The ribs, the garlic shrimp and the chili are said to be terrific! A pleasant, simple courtyard helps you to enjoy this relaxed place, but there's plenty of indoor seating also.

This is a great local spot, and Avi couldn’t be nicer. Nothing fancy here, except great service, exceptional food, and refreshing drinks. And then they say the ribs are out of this world, they really are. We will be back again and again for sure.

Been there for the rips, and I can tell you that they‘re awesome!
Nice to have a good tasting alternative to the other restaurants here in this area, with a pretty warm and welcoming chef, that still takes care about his guests.
Definitely a clear recommendation if you simply want to have some good tasting food!

Fantastic bar and restaurant in the heart of Manta Rota. The food is delicious and perfectly cooked, the atmosphere friendly and relaxed; and there's both indoor and outdoor seating available, including a beautiful garden patio area to the rear - a great little sun trap 🔆

Visited Mars Bar in Manta Rota numerous times over the past 8 years with husband, friends, and family.
Friendly atmosphere, Staff attentive & friendly.
Food is very good, we especially like the Ribs and Chicken Kebab, salad, with peanut satay sauce, Garlic Mayonnaise our favourite, and very popular, salads are good too .Drinks reasonable price.
Recommend booking a table in high season, especially for a special occasion, popular place, can get busy.
Adequate Seating inside and outside, there is a small free car park on the corner a few door down, nearby, we usually get a space, or side street parking.
Look forward to our next visit.

Just had a fabulous late lunch at Mar's Bar. The food was amazing... chicken kebabs and chicken shoarma....both were freshly made and were juicy and succulent. Both came with salad and rice or chips, with a beautiful selection of homemade sauces....garlic, satay and a yummy creamy salad dressing.....and the portion sizes were very large.
Icing on the cake was the jug of Sangria. The best I have had in Portugal so far! Full of fresh fruit (oranges, apples, pears, strawberries and blackberries) and made from scratch. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel so welcone. Definitely will be returning and would recommend highly.

Excellent food, good atmosphere and friendly staff. I have eaten BBQ ribs in many different counties around the world, however the BBQ Ribs in Mars Bar must take first place with everything.

Really nice place, went in most days while we were there for a drink great prices and great atmosphere, plus free WiFi which was amazing! Also they must have one of the best fastest barman I have seen. He was great, couldn't believe how fast he worked. Wish I'd eaten here but we ran out of time sadly.

Great lively bar, great food selection with hints of Marion's travels and home country, Avi is Football mad, shame he supports Man Utd ha ha, Jonny me super fast barman. Brilliant Kitchen
