Eurotel Altura

We loved our experience at Eurotel, the 1st night our air conditioning wasn't working and they quickly moved us to a room where the air conditioner was working well and also dropped off a special cake and a bottle of champagne for my birthday! Great access to the beach, beautiful pool. I highly recommend this hotel.

What a wonderful place and it's even better cuz the Portuguese people holiday here so it's very traditional and the food is fabulous 👌. The people are brilliant and have many values which we in UK 🇬🇧 have lost which explains the decline of our nation. Thank you Altura for a great time and will return again one day I am sure 😊.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The hotel was immaculately clean with great facilities.

The breakfast was outstanding. The indoor spa was so relaxing and very reasonably priced to use.

The outdoor pool, pool bar and pool area was great. There is not a lot to do in Altura but its a very quaint and peaceful little village and lots to do in the surrounding areas although taxis are quite pricey.

Some fantastic places to eat within a few minutes walk from the hotel. Bar staff and waiting staff were very friendly. The 24 hour reception staff were very helpful with the exception of one lady.

If you like peace and quiet this hotel is the perfect place. There is no entertainment and very few children/activities. I took my teenage son who was bored at times but was a perfect place for me for a relaxing break in a beautiful and classy hotel. The beach is 1 minute walk from the hotel and is the most stunningly beautiful beach.

The surroundings of the hotel are also very pleasing. Only negative is the cat poo on the grass behind the sunbeds at the pool side which isn't pleasant on a hot day but I would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay. Portugal is an amazing place

The location of the hotel is excellent within a short walk to an outstanding beach. During the winter months the hotel and the area is very quiet and night life is very limited. Most of the cafes and restaurants are closed especially at night. If you want a relaxing few days that's fine especially if you come for the sun and the sea and to get away from the British weather. It makes sense therefore to book half board.
The hotel is clean and well decorated with an excellent reception, sitting room and lounge. It is a well designed and attractive building and all rooms have sea views. The garden is beautiful and well kept. As it was January we have not used the outside swimming pool. It has a hydrotherapy pool (charges apply) but no internal swimming pool which is a shame. We used the gym every day and it is very well equipped. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. We found the food very enjoyable and to our liking but not always outstanding. It lacks consistency. The salads are fresh and well prepared and the fruit selection is excellent. Some of the fish meals were not so good. For breakfast it had an excellent selection of seeds and dried fruit as well as fresh fruit. The usual English breakfast although we found the fried eggs overcooked. We had some excellent walks on the beach eastwards towards Monte Gordo and westward towards Cacela Vehla. The beach runs for miles either way. Overall we had a great great value for money holiday in a beautiful 4 star hotel.

We were very lucky because the hotel was quiet th week we stayed there so we could enjoy the premises as we liked, as well as trying the spa and the beauty salon ( top quality service by the young fair- haired lady!).
We were half board and every meal was good.( It is possible to have gluten free bread, muffins and cereals!!!) It is just sad that there were only fruits available for gluten-free people...

The hotel is located in the less touristic part of Algarve so it's quiet but that was ok for us because we were looking for some calm...
As you have guessed, we had a great time!

Indoor and outdoor pool and a short walk from the beach. We found the staff very courteous and throughly recommend for families. Bonus with Altura is you are close to the Spanish border, so you could get to Seville almost as quickly as Lagos. Hotel were very helpful in arranging our hire car.

Can't rate this hotel and its staff highly enough we have just enjoyed the best family holiday in ages. Highly recommend it.

Excellent hotel next to a great beach. Service was impeccable, rooms were nice, clean, and had space, with a great view (to the beach and pool). Around the area there are some places to visit, but it's best to relax and just enjoy the beach and pool. They even brought me cake on my birthday. It was a very relaxing experience I hope I can repeat again.

The sun was shining, the hotel grounds are beautiful. Our room was clean and well equipped. The bed was a double and very comfortable. Plenty of sun beds and short walk to the beach and bars. Breakfast and service very good thank you.

I was here right after a week long storm and in off season but they still managed to keep the service level excellent. The breakfast was awesome and the hotel was very clean. It’s a great place.

Had a quick one night stay in this hotel. The room was amazing value for the price and generally the hotel looks fresh and welcoming. Definitely recommended

Only popped in for a cocktail and a line by the pool. Very friendly staff. Nice pool with access directly to the beach and outside changing facilities. Food looked fresh and nice although we didn't eat.

Fabulous 5 days spent here. Rooms all have Seaview. Nice touch bubbly and cake for husbands birthday

I first visited Eurotel Altura in 1996 and still return, I love this place. The hotel is charming, calming and relaxing. The staff are consistent however many have retired now but still the odd familiar face. Breakfast is buffet style with excellent choices from fresh fruit to full cooked. The bedrooms have been refurbished to a high standard with complimentary coffee and TV. All rooms have mini bars. The pool area is clean with sunbeds and a shaded seating area. The wellness center offers a good choice of treatments, has a heated pool, sauna and rainforest rain shower. There is also a private beach area with snack bar open in high season.

Parking: easy. Has everything nowadays. Not too crowded 🥰

Excellent hotel and services. Good pool garden area. The spa is relaxing at a small charge. There is a gym that has all the machines and weights you'd need for a good workout. Modern and clean lobby area. Access the the beach. Recommend the Hotel

Best hotel in the area. Great pool, breakfast and easy beach access. This hotel seems well equipped for older people, but it's a blast for families as well.

Had a great stay, excellent staff and facilities. Great boardwalk and beautiful beach . Excellent breakfast buffet.
