Restaurante Onda do Sol

This lovely restaurant is located at Ponta do Sol, Lugar de Baixo , situated right by the beach. Lovely views of Ribeira Brava and the coast. An extensive menu is available, but we only had a coffee.

Food was delicious and for this dish good value for money. This marinated Ventrecha de Atum - Tuna Belly was lovely 💞

We went to the Onda do Sol on purpose due to the good evaluations through Google. And we were not disappointed at all. The service was friendly and the food tastes very nice. One can expect typical food of Madeira. Unfortunately the amount of food for us with starters and main course was too much. So one needs to be hungry to cope with the amount of food to be served. Our recommendations for this place!

Thanks to the crew from Onda do Sol for a perfect evening! We enjoyed a variety of excelent seafood, starting with delicious mexilhao (blue muzzles) and grilled octopus. For the main course we shared the fish of the day: a fantastic grilled papagaio. The dessert completed the culinary journey. Last but not least we enjoyed the mindful and kind service as well as the ocean view from our table in the first row.

Absolutely amazing food, the best octopus in my life, espetada was the best we had on Madeira. High-guality servise and great ocen view. Highly recommended!!!!

Outstanding food and lovely service. The chicken breast with mushrooms was absolutely delicious.

Very nice staff friendly , helpful, kind. Food is great .but to our taste bit salty(chicken and pork Madeira skewer). But their generous portions made the price. I couldn't finished my meal.

The attention, the food, and the place were great.
Carlitos and his team were very attentive. We ate a fish soup and fried milho (polenta), DELICIOUS!! We drank a mix of different fruits that after a "levada" of more than 4 hours... the best election we could make!!
