Cascata do Poço do Bacalhau

It is a very nice and tall waterfall. After leaving the car in the road it is a very short and easy walk to it, next to a small creek with an old watermill. In the small pool at the base of the waterfall you are allowed to bath, something not allowed in the other similar places in the island.

It is a tall waterfall, but at the end of September, it wasn't very thick. The pool under it looks nice, a lot of people went in.

Great experience, a must go if visiting Azores, i was born here and recently returned to visit family, it's so magical! definitely recommend

So beautiful can’t believe such a lovely place is an easy half mile from my stay in the nearby village.

Easily accessible by local bus, leaving Lajes at 11 am, from Santa Cruz somewhat earlier. One of the most scenic bus rides anywhere! Senhor Armando was so kind, he stopped along the way so we could take photos of the amazing scenery. Bus returns from Faja Grande at 3 pm, which left us 3 hrs to see all the 4 big waterfalls in Faja, walk to the nearby village, and get coffee at Papadiamandis. Thank you, Armando, you are the best!

Wonderful Enchanting place to visit in Flores, Azores. a must visit. Near the beach too and restaurants.

Unbelievable place for a foto shooting! Perfect for quick swim on a hot day! Water is not too cold, but might depend on the weather!

Nature swimming pool created by waterfall, easy to access with 5mins walk. Water is quite cold should come when it’s sunny! The pool is not too big so might be too busy to come in the weekends.

It is smaller waterfall around Faja Grande. But it is more cozy than the bigger one. You can easily swim there and reach the stream. It is like nice private nature swimming pool.

Its a fairly beautiful piece of mother nature.. fresh water waterfall on one end and the endless sea on the other.. this was one the most breathtaking views ever

Worth checking out for a little break or similar
