what an amazing place!! we’ve been eating there every day during our stay. first thing - kitchen - is very tasty, we tried every dish, everything tastes perfect. prices are fair, portions are big. can recommend shrimps and mussels from starters, octopus, cod fish and squid from mains. coconut pudding from desserts is the best!! second - service - is pleasant. you have a feeling like you’re coming to your friends. everyone is respectful, polite and super duper nice! if you sit outside you don’t have to reserve table, for inside they are doing reservations and if you don’t book table early you won’t have a place to sit inside. in a day time they don’t do dishes from the menu just bar and snacks. best wishes and good luck to you guys :) cheers and all the best from Margo and Valery

A food surprise among the scarce hospitality landscape on Flores.
I found some dishes amazing, others not really a good match for me. The portions are generous and enough for a gourmand person. I think they don't have many vegetarian options but the vegetables are a rare find in Flores.
Deserts are delicious and the wines are a good match for the food they serve.
This restaurant was a nice discovery on Flores. I was seduced by the name of the restaurant, a tribute to a ship crew that survived a shipwreck. Due to this story, the waiters look a bit like sailors for me :)

Best polvo I’ve had out of all the islands (and trust me I’ve had a lot)
Not many guest end of September, no reservation needed for lunch on a Saturday

Great local food. We tried the garlic shrimps and the mussel with curry and coconut milk. Super tasty. The octopus and deserts are very good too.

There are only a few restaurants in Faja Grande, and we ate here twice. The lunch was enjoyable, but the dinner of filet mignon was really delicious. It was much bigger for much lower cost than what we would pay in the US!

What a lovely place to eat. We have been there couple of times and had delicious food with a lovely view. Our waiter was great and spoke both English and Portuguese. We will definitely be back.

This place really surprised us. Flores Island, being so small, we weren't expecting such a quality meal, friendly service, and fair prices compared to the other Islands in the Azores.

We ordered local beer and wine, as well as freshly prepared fish which was caught locally, and a beef burger which is also local.

The beer and wine was enjoyable.

The battered cod fish is finished in the oven and presented upon potatoes, with onions and peppers. The portion was more than generous, and seasoned to perfection. I can definately recommend this dish.

The burger consisted of an Azorian patty, with a good fat content, and great fresh taste. Very nice quality meat. Also in the burger is lettuce, tomato, bacon, egg and cheese. Many diffrent flavours which compliment each other very well, and brought together with a sweetness of a local jam (pineapple I think). The burger bun is not your typical bun, it is less dense which means you can enjoy the true taste of the contents of the burger, and not too much bread! Very well priced and I'd be happy to eat this burger once a week if I could!

The two young waitors are full of good energy, and keep the atmosphere friendly and light. They seem to be content and pleased to do their job while taking pride in it.

The location is also superb, on the seaside and a short walk to an astounding waterfall, which will surely impress almost any visitors.

Fast service, I think is the best Octopus that we have tried. We also took the fish of the day and it was pretty good.

Squid was so fresh and delicious Greek salad with Azorean cheese! Very friendly service also. The restaurant location is quite spectacular, must visit.

At first we were expecting Greek cuisine because papadiamantis was a great Greek writer. However papadiamantis was also a name of a shipwreck in the area so the food is portoguese...

Now the food. Oh my god! The tuna... please try the tuna! And the octopus melting in your mouth and the bacallaou.. everything was so perfectly cooked and tasty..! Just perfect! It is a definite MUST TRY!

Not to mention the location! Just by the sea and beautiful at dawn!

Perfect place. Kindly stuff. Not big choice but very tasty food. Good fish and grilled perfectly. Amazing view to the ocean and to the waterfalls.

Amazing food and very nice stuff! We had a fish soup, small plate of cheeses for starters, octopus and francesina (delicious!) as main dishes- everything was veery good! one of best places to eat in Flores!

The place to go in Faja Grande. We've been to all places around and this is the only one we came back to multiple times! Friendly staff, good Don't look further ;)

Went there 2 days in a row, excellent wine selection from the azores and I highly recommend the octopus dish

Had a nice diner with view on the waterfalls and ocean. We were served by Elisue who is a kind and funny guy, he made us his mocktail which was really good and refreshing. The pasta was great as well. Would come again just for his mocktail!

Very picturesque place, nice service and delicious food. Once of the best fish on Açores.

Not much to add. Great food, the service is nice and fast even though the restaurant can get quite packed. You also get to see a beautiful sunset in a beautiful spot in Fajã Grande. The vegetarian options are not many but they're tasty. Recommended

Best place for us on Flores to eat and drink. The food is very well prepared and you can choose a nice variety of gins, whiskey,.... The staff is very friendly and they have a good taste in music 👍😀 and last but certainly not least.... THE VIEW 💕❤😍 Simply amazing!!!!

Nice restaurant at the “end of the old World” with good seafood meals and amazing view from the terrace.
