It's more than just dinner, it's an experience. The food was delicious both times we ate there! The environment, the jazz music, the staff.. Everything was great. Totally recommended! Make sure you make a reservation and ask for the daily dish

Best meal I’ve had all month. BRING CASH, CALL AHEAD TO RESERVE. One guy do be nice! Softest duck, most delicious sauce, impeccable aura and vibes of the place, and an unmatched view from both windows for sunset.

Pure perfection. I don’t even like duck usually - it was tonight’s offering so I gave it a whirl: it was spectacular. If coming in the off season, just realize there are only five tables indoors so an advanced booking is important. This is a special place.

Top in town for overall experience. It's not for everyone it seems but you won't regret it if you value buying an entire experience not just a meal. Small family place. Good food takes time. Have patience and you'll enjoy it. And hope you like music!

My husband and I visited Maresia twice during our honeymoon, and I have to say, it was definitely a highlight of our trip to the Azores! The owner is an excellent chef with impeccable music taste. Our server was super friendly and made sure we were satisfied with our time at the restaurant. I don’t understand how anyone could leave this place a negative review. This place is so special. YOU MUST GO HERE!!!

We arrived from Canada and have been having better and better food experiences every day, to top it off with a lovely dinner at Maresia. Food and music was divine, and such sweet service. I'm not sure why there's bad reviews here! Honestly, things are so expensive at home that this restaurant is not expensive for what you get! It's excellent! My parents and my husband and I all really enjoyed everything. Gorgeous sunset and setting too. Thank you!

I am not sure what all this negative reviews are about, but one thing is for sure this place is unique. From the location right on the sea, the home cooked buffet style food to the music coming from self made speakers. This is a great setting for super nice food and a beautiful sunset. A must go for dinner when in Flores

Really great experience here. Single menu, very cozy space. All the food was so good (we were on osso bucco night), and they were so nice to our toddler. The owner and his son are also so nice.

This is the kind of place Anthony Bourdain would write poems about. Very relaxed vibe, incredible food (we went twice and would have gone again if we were here longer) and wonderful service from both the owner (chef) and waiter (chef's son) (plus the man helping in the kitchen was friendly too). The second visit was on my wife's birthday. She has many food allergies and is limited in her choices. Vincente (the waiter) went above and beyond to make the dessert special but also something she can have.

Disregard the bad reviews.. those people must have been exposed to the sun for too long. If you expect to come to a place where you can waive your finger around and have the staff cater to your ever urge then you will be disappointed. If you come with a positive and happy attitude this will be your favorite too!

Very local and cozy place with one main dish of a day — we had very tasty octopus. A bit more expensive compare to other restaurants, but it’s worth it.

The perfect experience. Located a few meters from the sea in the west coast of Flores island, it has a superb atmosphere
for having a fantastic meal and a great wine while watching the sunset, feeling the warm sea level temperature and listening to great sounding music. The owner and chef Jorge is a welcoming person and cooks delicious dishes with high quality ingredients. My favorite spot in Flores. Very recommended.

We loved this place!! Best food in the Azores! We travelled to 4 islands and this was the highlight of our trip food wise. The fish on the menu were still swimming when we got there. They were not ready for food service yet so we made a reservation and came back after a few cocktails close by. The menu is what it is based on what the chef has on hand, and he did not disappoint! Have seen some negative reviews based on attitude of the place, and they are not founded! The owner/chef is talented and busy at what he does. Leave him to his thing and at the end you will find that he is more than gracious. If you found him to be curt then it was probably due to interrupting what he does! Also his music along with the scenery is unmatched!

This restaurant is not a restaurant, it’s a whole experience. It is really not only about the food (1 only choice of meal but nicely cooked, well above the average standard of the archipelago), it is about good quality music, nice quality of sound even if the rain is here, and you face the very vast ocean, in the middle of it, in a bed or a sofa if you want. I highly recommand it, if you are not only there for eating. Needs to be a bit open minded i think :)

Eating at Maresia restaurant is like coming home. Inside is decorated like a livingroom and oudside they have litle tables and lounge chairs. The view is amazing, the food is great and the hosts are very polite. It's right at the sea and i think the most western located restaurant in europe.

A very welcomed surprise. Nice place to relax at the end of the day and have dinner. Very good food, beautiful surroundings and the music is spot on.

Very special place, super friendly staff, cozy Couch and great food. Feels more like at home or in a friends backyard. Let's call it cozy... Very knowledgeable Chef & good place for a date.

Excellent dining experience. The owner is so cool. Great music played on vinyl through a beautiful sound system. We had the duck. It was the best duck I’ve ever had and I love duck. Beautiful setting. The server was gracious and efficient. Maybe the best meal ever.

Maresia matched totally the superb Flores experience.
Food was fabulous and location wonderful.
A lovely dinner facing the sea really does the trick. We went to Maresia on a Monday and we had cod and that was really nice.
The menu concept is: only 1 dish per day, so make sure you pick up one evening when they prepare food you fancy.
