Perfect location right IN the city center with lots of shopping, restaurants and activity. The hotel itself is beautiful. Turn of the century vibe. It is MUCH bigger than it seems with rooms both up and downstairs, a roof deck and pool! Room was huge by European standards. Clean, really nice breakfast too. Something for every taste and nationality. Staff couldn't do enough for us. The only downside (if you want to call it that) was the air conditioner wasn't working but the weather was very mild and the fan they provided made things extremely comfortable. So ask if the AC is working if it's summer. I would absolutely stay there again. We took a hop-on, hop-off bus and spent the day tooling all around Porto. Went everywhere! Sown by the water, historic center, all around. And we bought the ticket at the hotel. Taxi stand right up the road, if you needed it and the Mercado do Bohlao is right around the corner.

We can't say enough about this place....it's stunningly elegant & comfortable & the staff at all levels is top notch. The price is very reasonable for such great service & accommodations. The breakfast comes with the room & is over-the-top! We'll definitely stay here the next time we're in Porto.

We stayed here for a full 7 days. Service was excellent, staff arevery friendly and helpful especially Mario, barman in the Windsor Bar. He really knows his stuff. The room was cleaned with fresh towels every day. The hotel has an old-world luxury feel about it with the revolving door entrance and lobby. Breakfast selection is excellent, and it is a really good location, with bus and metro access close by. Would recommend buying the Tour 3 metro card (€16) that gives 72 hrs (from first use) unlimited travel on bus/Metro system.

An elegant, historical property, central to everything for us with helpful staff & great breakfast!
Liked · It was our first check-in process (out of 4) in Portugal and it was seamless. We used some Portuguese and some English and it was fine. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, huge variety from 0 carb to max carb, vegan/veggie to carnivore. Best of all was the location; it was pretty much central to everything we did in Porto and exiting the front door takes you on to a pedestrian only street with shops and cafes that is almost always streaming with people.

Disliked · The flip-side of entering from a pedestrian only street is a parking and accessibility challenge. The hotel had no parking, so we walked a couple of blocks from the parking garage; inconvenient, but not the end of the world and we did get a discount at the garage using a voucher from the hotel.

Right in the centre of Lisbon, close to shops and tour buses. Very old world glamour. Velvet, leather suites like going back in time. Excellent bar, great buffet breakfast, helpful staff, room a little small but adequate. Other larger suites available which looked stunning they are renovating thier roof terrace which will be amazing. Excellent stay and service.

I absolutely love everything about this hotel.

First of all, you would not believe that this is a 3 stars hotel. The room is unexpected nice, with huge bathroom, high ceiling room and decorated in such a way classy but premium feeling and not in a cheapy way.

Unfortunately the hotel is located within no car zone. But you can be dropped by taxi or bolt or uber nearby the street.

What I can say about this hotel is that it is very instragrammable. You can take photos in many spots inside the premises. The breakfast hall also feels like you're dining in high-end restaurant. The decoration is top-notch.

Most of the staff here were very friendly and helpful.

While the rooms were a bit small when you have a large luggage, the hotel itself is very spacious and has a lovely atmosphere. Like if you are staying in a well-maintained rich pent house. The breakfast was delicious! And the service was great!

This classic hotel is so charming, with a very well maintained lobby and common areas. The room was comfortable and well appointed with plenty of space for us and our luggage. Breakfast was nothing special, but it was included so it's hard to complain about.

Awesome hotel with amazing vibes. Everything was super clean and the staff was nice to us. The rooms weren’t the biggest, but you’ll be fine if you’re staying for a few says. Excellent location, we went walking everywhere. I’ll probably come back to this hotel if I’m traveling back to Porto.

It’s hard to believe this hotel is only three star. I think it should be four or more. The hotel, opened in 1880, is a “Grande Dame“ hotel. The detailing is historic, warm and cozy. It’s like being at your rich grandmother’s house, if your grandmother was a duchess. All surfaces are pristine. Letters from famous guests line the Galway to the cavernous dining area.

The included breakfast is buffet, with an abundance of goodies to start your day.

The staff is lways there to answer questions no matter what time of day. This was a nice contrast to the newer model of absentee landlords that give you the key through a ‎WhatsApp code.

The hotel is lovingly cared for, and it’s right on the main chopping pedestrian street. a great location with only an eight minute walk to the water and just around the corner from the large mercado, where you can sample the many specialty products from the booths of vendors. And it’s not near the giant construction project for the underground roadway, which is closer to the river.

Room was spacious and looked on a side street, so it was quiet at night.

Bath had separate bidet. Loved that. Shower pressure medium but hot water can on in about 15 seconds.

Price for off season is very reasonable. Contact hotel directly.

Four nights at this lovely stylish hotel. Staff fabulous and friendly. Room was clean and tidy with a small sofa, and shower room.

Location is wonderful, close to Bolhao metro. Straight from airport for just over €2 and, unlike Paris, metro is easy access with bags and bad knees!

Minor points for improvement: better pillows as they were rather lumpy. And the coffee at breakfast was very disappointing. But these didn't spoil our stay.

Our tour operator arranged for us to have lunch here prior to our departure to the airport, the interior of the hotel is amazing, the food and service was exceptional, I'm sure if you were staying here you wouldn't be disappointed as the location is brilliant

Loved my stay here. Location excellent for walking/exploring Porto. Staff so friendly and buffet breakfast was 1st class. The Windsor Bar was a lovely place to relax and have some drinks, which were reasonably priced. For me no faults for my stay. No hesitation in staying here again. Close to bolhao metro and main railway station.

Very opulent public rooms, smart bedrooms, tastefully decorated, good buffet breakfast. Great location in the centre of a pedestrianised shopping street.

Normally I wouldn't stay at such a grand hotel, but I did this time and was pleased I did. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. The entrance area was classy and historic with some opulence thrown in for good measure. The buffet breakfast was fine, but I was hoping for more as everything else was so wonderful.
