We enjoyed our meal so much we went back for a second visit. Enjoyed limpets as a starter with the espada(scabbard) with a banana and a great selection of vegetables and sweet potato. Also enjoyed the mixed fish skewer. And finish with a Bol de Mel de canha and a glass of Madeira wine to finish. Family run with great service. Book ahead as it is popular

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with delicious Portuguese flavors. The fish is cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Madeira Flavours.

The chefs are show offs! EVERY SINGLE THING THAT ARRIVED ON OUR PLATES WERE FLAVOURFUL. They really mean it when they say ‘Madeira Flavours’. I had the Chicken with the Passion fruit sauce and my partner had the same but with lovely crispy Milho. I’ll admit, we arrived with lunch still in our bellies but I didn’t waste a single bite, I cleaned the plate. The service too was excellent, our waiter was polite, bright, attentive and very informative.

Fantastic food again. After a few years away because of COVID-19, we booked as soon as we arrived. The food is delicious and service is fantastic. Well worth a visit. Formal service meets informal with a chat with the waiters and silent football on a screen. Recommend steak with couscous, veal with sauted potatoes, Italian ice cream with chocolate sauce and passion fruit pudding

A fantastic cosy little restaurant near the main tourist hotels in Funchal, specialising in Madeiran delicacies. Very reasonably priced, with delicious food, excellent service and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Thanks everyone for a fab night.

Most underrated eatery in Madeira, have eaten here 5 times, wonderful food and great welcome, really well priced also. bravo

The restaurant is the best we visited in Madeira through the whole island. All meat dishes are cooked exceptionally well and steaks especially taste amazing.
My gf also tried seafood dishes, they are very good and nice to try for the newcomers, since waiters help with the choice and recommend local delicatessen.
Various choice of wine, drinks, desserts, skewers, starters and super cute atmosphere. Strong recommendation.

Really nice well cooked food with helpful friendly staff, located near pestana carlton, so very convenient for us.
Top of our list when we next return.

A wonderful restaurant with fine service and delicious meals!

We visited this restaurant as it was close to our hotel and had good reviews. It doesn't look much from the outside and has a bit of a naff name, but it is much better than it looks. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food is unpretentious but excellent (only criticism is that the vegetables tend to be overcooked, which is common in Madeira) and the overall vibe of the place is great. Everytime we went it was busy but they can usually fit people in if they're prepared to wait. We ate here on 3 occasions and couldn't fault it. Highly recommended.

Great food, the taste was like eating a home cooked meal. Amazing ! Loved it, and lived the atmosphere with great music. The waiters were very friendly ❤

Three visits, three excellent meals.
The menu is varied and presented in multiple languages. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. The fillet beef skewer (traditional dish) is highly recommended.
Last night's chef special, grilled fresh sea bream was mouth watering.
The staff are friendly, attentive and genuinely pleased to see you.
I will be visiting this restaurant again and highly recommend it.

Visited twice, first time sat inside, delicious meal. Second time sat outside, both had a pasta meal which was ok but needed more sauce

We had the plate of the day .I ordered White fish, prawn sauce, rice and salad. Fish was cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the pasta and salad, she was also very happy with her dish. Staff are efficient and helpful. Two main courses, one beer and one water, €21. Excellent value. Will eat here again.
