Sete Mares

I recently dined at the "Sete Mares" restaurant in Funchal and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was good, with a seaside-inspired decor that created a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had a comfortable dining experience.

* At the 'Sete Mares' Restaurant's terrace, there are many pigeons because some of the customers feed them. It's bothersome to enjoy the food or drinks while constantly shooing the pigeons away from the plates and glasses.

Very good spot to take a drink or grab the food :) i loved pineaple "Nikita", ponch, the fish, beer. All was very good and fresh!
Beautiful view on the seashore and turistic ships as also the view on the city (especially in the night!)

Been here almost every day I’ve been here to visit Madeira and there’s one thing that made it an even more inviting experience for me, and that’s Carlos. He is so friendly and so funny, a credit to your establishment. I will definitely tell my friends and family about this place

Amazing place. High quality cuisine at affordable prices. Try the small picadinho for €8.50 and the lapas for €7. I highly recommend this place!!

Sete Mares was the first place we stopped to try something from the recommended Madeira food list. From the first sip of Poncha, we knew that this drink would be our top choice for the rest of the trip. It was very good, from fresh juice and really delicious. We also decided to try Limpets (Lapas) with the offered side of Bolo do Caco. We are not the biggest fans of seafood, but these snails were really delicious and the bread was divine! The combination of Lapas and bread was wonderful. Would come back and order the same!

Arrived on late flight to Madrira. After hotel checkin, staff member, Daniel, recommended Sete Mare for a drink. Delighted with his recommendation. The bar is lovely, staff nice and friendly. First taste of Poncha and Coral beer.as.first rime.visit to Madeira. Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely revisit. Good prices too compared to back home in Ireland. Here for 10 days so Sete Mare is on our lost of places to revisit.

Great food and beer and reasonable prices... omelettes are amazing and the food is served rapidly...also good for watching the big matches

The food is delicious and arrived promptly! The staff is super friendly and attentive! Very nice atmosphere, relax either outside or inside the bar. The waitress Victoria is an absolute star! Super lovely and cheery! Look forward to coming back!

Great sandwiches and nikita, attentive service. Unfortunately quite a lot of bothersome pigeons around but I can't blame the restaurant for that.

One of the best bolo de caco that we tried in Madeira (and we tried a lot of them)! Good price/quality ratio, nice terrace, attentive waiters :))

Great atmosphere and very accommodating with the changes in weather and us wanting to sit inside then outside - the club sandwich and prego misto were perfection! Sue looked after us and was very patient - my only criticism is they ran out of pastel de natas but the view made up for it!

Delicious food. Very friendly and attentive staff. If you travel to Madeira you have to try this place, one of the best places I have eaten in Madeira.
