Restaurante Onda Norte

The first night we went it was so busy and this waiter was impressing my lady and I with his ability to tend to the WHOLE restaurant and without delaying us. The food was authentic and tasty and pricing was more than reasonable. Definitely a gem!

Its very good place to get a tasty meal.
The prices are fair and good portions.

The staffs are helpfull and friendly.

We spent 40 euros to 2 persons.

Amazing service is what definitely stands out at this restaurant. It’s family-run, has cozy and friendly atmosphere. We felt really nicely taken care of, despite the busy evening, the waiter has found some time to dedicate to all guests.
The food is tasty, nothing extraordinary, just simply delicious and well served.

Fabulous, not just "value for money", this is a great restaurant with great well prepared fresh food.
Don't be confused by the decor, this place focuses on the tastes and level of service.
This, unlike 99% of places in this town, isn't a tourist trap.
We got:
Bread, butter, olives and half a portion of garlic shrimp for starters
Surf & turf and a Sea bream on the grill
all made to perfection.
The atmosphere is down to earth, a place to enjoy your dinner and hang out.
They also have a selection of wines and beer of the tap.
Unfortunately we found this place on our last night in Lagos.

It has been some four years since our last visit here. It was our go to place for picanha. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress, and the owners were there too, and we had a catch up with them. We had picanha again last night, and it was as good as ever. I also had a lush lime cheesecake! The presentation was good, with a very nice salsa. It is great, that an original chef was back, but best of all Vinny, our favorite waiter is back too. We have two weeks of our holiday left, and we'll endeavour to return. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a great restaurant just a two minute walk outside the beating heart of Lagos it lies cornered in an apartment complex. The service is great,fast and efficient with the menu filled with fresh meats,sausages and seafood freshly caught. This spot lights up when dark falls as locals tend to flush in so be quick to find a table before dark falls. I went the various meats platter and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Everything about this place was amazing. Service was exceptional. Our young waitress was willing to answer all of our questions about the different styles of food. Ended up getting the picanha sirloin and it was amazing! My friend's black pork secreto was also great. And not only was the food amazing, the portions were quite generous! Leaving so happy we found this place ❤

It is great spot to eat fish and drink some green wine. We ordered three different things and all of them was so delicious but better than this, their staff was so kind. Even if we were late, they prepared what we wanted and serve very kindly.

Very good place to go for a nice meal. We had the shrimp and sea bream and both were very good! The staff is also super friendly.

Big portion sizes, good prices. Waiter speaks good English and was friendly. North to south platter has a good arrangement of grilled fish, steak, chicken, pork chop, sausage, shrimp, with beans, rice, and fries for 32 euro. Can easily feed 3 people. Definitely worth going after a long day of walking etc.

I do not often leave reviews but this place has left quite an impression on me. I'm a big foodie, travelling often and trying various cusines, I also have a healthy appetite!

When I ordered the rib of steak at this restaurant I wasn't expecting to be served such a huge piece of tasty beef; it was delicious from start to finish and being honest, I struggled finishing it both times. (Yep, it was this good I went back twice for it.)

I was stunned by how amazing (really, TOP LEVEL) the service was. It was one of the best places I've eaten at in a while and for sure the best I've had in Algarve. I would certainly recommend eating here should you be in Lagos.

Nice place, very kind and helpfull waitress, the food was delicious. The house wine was also fine. I really recommend this place.

Real good food, for an honest price.
I had the "Shrimp Feijoada" and my husband had a grilled fish, can't remember which.
Everything was fresh and delicious.
We also had a bottle of wine that was quite good and for a great price.

Great local authentic food. The pork chops and secret black pork were perfectly cooked. Also enjoyed the chicken a la onda norte. Very large portions for a great price. We ordered the starter platter and 4 entrees for 5 people and left very happy and full. Will be returning again during our stay in Lagos.

The service was amazing! Our waitress was very attentive, friendly and personal. The food was excellent and the prices very reasonable.

We came here for my birthday and from the minute we sat down the service, atmosphere and attentiveness was perfect. We had a shared starter, 2 cocktails, a litre of the house red (which was tasty and a good price), 2 main courses and dessert for less than 60€. The food was authentic Portuguese and we got to try some local dishes we had never heard of before. The portions are of a really good size and our meats were cooked perfectly. Our server was so lovely and even put a candle in my dessert and sang happy birthday without being asked or prompted which was a lovely surprise. She and the rest of the kitchen staff were amazing, I gave her a hug after we finished. Even the rest of the guests were friendly, wishing me a happy birthday. Highly recommended place.

Wonderful food and friendly service. Loved it so much we are returning tomorrow. The decor could be updated to improve the atmosphere but all in all we loved it.

It's a very cosy place, and the opposite of a tourist trap. Feels very authentic and you get large portions. I had the golden bream for like €10 and it was lovely.

We've been visiting this restaurant on and off for the past 8 years. The owners change but the food remains some of the best in Lagos. The current owners are fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming. We've eaten here twice this week and we not disappointed. Thank you and see you again soon.
