We found this restaurant from reviews and had the Octopus Risotto and Grilled Octopus both were phenomenal! Definitely happy we tried these recommended options. I didn't think Octopus can be made this tender and tasty!
Everything was great, Only downside was the smell of smoking coming from the door. The outside sitting area is next to the door and when they are smoking (which was all the time we were dining there) the smoke would be inside too.

Had a great dinner! The sangria is good, the staff is very attentive, and the food came relatively fast and was well prepared - the only downside is the lack of sides.
The fish was good but served with very little veggies, the crusted goat cheese was fantastic but would have deserved a couple of slices of bread (esp as it’s quite pricy), same for the salmon tartare that could come with a few nachos or a bit of bread. Other than that, great place, so much better than the restaurants around!
It gets busy in the evening so if you want to sit outside you’ll have to book in advance.

Our favorite restaurant in Portugal! We were recommended to come try the roasted octopus here, and it did not disappoint. It was so tender and flavorful, and paired perfectly with the roasted veggies. Probably the best octopus we've ever had (and we were eating it almost every meal in Spain and Portugal). The octopus risotto and chicken liver pate were delicious as well. Flaming chorizo was a cool option too because you get to cook it at your table. Lastly, the cocktails here were amazing and super reasonably priced - I'd recommend the pisco sour and the basil sour. We loved this place so much that we tried visiting again without a reservation, and they were very accommodating (sat us at the bar while we waited, and it only took 10 mins to get a table during peak dinnertime). This is a must-visit!

Great. Finding a tapas place in the middle of Lagos — just shows how far this former fisher village has come. And what a food it serves: the Burrata was beautiful, a joy on the taste buds with properly crafted Italian Burrata and some very nice toppings. The prawns on oil were a pure delight, absolutely fresh and rich in flavour. The octopus risotto was good, albeit it lacked in clarity of the flavour — a bit shallow, but perhaps a matter of expectation. The pork cheeks in contrast were an excellent choice, served with some grilled vegetables as sides. Service was great, people being super friendly all around.

I can highly recommend the Salmon Tartar which comes with Guacamole and sweet potato crisps AND the breaded goat cheese.👌

Amazing tapas 👌👌👌 do not miss out on this place. We had the octopus salad, flammed chorizo, fries, and shrimp. Everything was delicious. A must!

This places seems to have everything on the good level. Octopus and grilled fish were delicious! Sangria was great as well, not too sweet, not too strong and had lots of fruits, very refreshing.
Great atmosphere and waiters, even music they play is not some golden hits playlist that you can hear everywhere!
One thing though, reservation is a must to avoid waiting for the table.

Buzzy beautiful place with a great choice of tapas! We came here twice and both times had nice service, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. We tried shrimps, salmon tartar and shared a vegetarian board, everything was just delicious. Wine was also great, I think one of the best we have tried in Lagos!
We booked a table in the little garden at the back of the restaurants. Very cute hidden corner with plants and Portuguese tiles. Again food was on the great level. Roasted octopus and Pork cheeks are a must to try! We haven’t tried the deserts, but the cocktails were also really good. 5 stars well deserved! If we had more days, definitely would have come again!

Been here multiple times over the years and it just keeps getting better. Fab service, sangria and food again last night. Thanks to Harry for being a great waiter too and bringing out our starters super fast (we had skipped lunch!) 100% recommend x

Wonderful food, cocktails, and atmosphere. The roasted octopus was perfect. I loved the potato’s and sides that came with it. The cocktails were very good, and you could tell the effort that goes into it. We would definitely come back!

Great lunch place! We loved everything we ate: fried goat cheese, burrata, fries, spinach croquettes, and beet salad. Perfect for vegetarians.

Had a great dinner here and waiter knows extremely well about celiac disease. We had glutenfree Tapas Octopus Salad, Burrata, Nachos with Guacamole and glutenfree bread. No symptoms although I’m a highly sensitive celiac.

Not a massive menu but good food.

Great cocktails!! The place has both food and drinks on a great level. Very lively and full of people. Staff is running and doing their best, smiling and very accommodating despite the busyness. Great job guys! Definitely will come again!

A cozy place, very welcoming. The menu is simple and short. We are different dishes but the one that I recommend is the tuna burger with an amazing tartar sauce. Cocktails are well balanced and original. Perfect match for an amazing dinner out. The draft craft beers are good.

We found this restaurant by chance. We shared the cured salmon, flaming chorizo and octopus salad. The menu isn’t very extensive but I find that when this is the case, typically the food is very tasty. Barbosa did not disappoint. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely delicious! Would definitely come back to Barbosa, the food was so fresh and delicious and the staff very friendly as well. Excellent local wines too! Highly recommend.

Had a blast here. Harry is the best. He was so attentive to everything and even brought out a cake for the birthday girls, and we didnt even ask for it.. sangria by the liter is the bomb and we all had a blast. When you are in Lagos please come check them out. You will have fun no questions!!!
