I saw that this restaurant was top rated at 4.8 and decided to head there to try it out, and the top rating was accurate! The food was incredible, every dish we ordered was so delicious and aesthetically pleasing too. The service was fantastic, very friendly, welcoming and also provided a lot of helpful information when we wanted to learn about some of the food we were eating or beverage we had. The restaurant was in a great location, nicely decorated and very clean. Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Highly recommend!

Just had Dinner with my Dad there , mum sadly missed out due to sickness.
We’ve had the Christmas menu wow wow wow it was simply magnificent 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽seriously everything was just perfect the taste, the consistency the flavours, the portions, the attention to detail we were really impressed .

My partner and I did a private cooking class with Martin today and it was a fabulous experience that we will remember for a long time! Martin first took us to the local market to select ingredients - which was a super fun part of the day - and then we spent about 2 hours making 5 different dishes with Martin’s guidance. The food was incredible and easy to repeat at home, but the best part of the experience was Martin himself. A genuinely wholesome, kind-hearted guy! We are really grateful for the nice experience on our last day in Portimão.

We enjoyed our dinner in Carvoeiro at Martins Kulinarium. Booking a table online was incredibly easy, and I even received a prompt confirmation message directly from Martin. The restaurant's location was conveniently within walking distance from the city center. It's a family-managed establishment adorned with beautiful art pieces and various merchandise available for purchase at the front.

Upon arriving and taking our seats on the lovely front patio, Martin himself greeted us warmly. While he oversees the restaurant, mom and brother work diligently in the kitchen, and Beatrice efficiently manages the tables. The restaurant offers a weekly menu, adding an extra touch of uniqueness to the dining experience. The presentation of the dishes was delightful, boasting freshness, deliciousness, and notably generous portions. We found ourselves pleasantly full, with no room left for dessert.

To top off our wonderful dining experience, Beatrice graciously offered us a taste of port wine. Thank you Beatrice!

If you're in the area, I highly recommend visiting Martins Kulinarium – it's a true gem!

We went to the restaurant for lunch and view, food and service have been fantastic- especially remarkable - go for the Tapas because the chickpea mouse / kind of special hummus with garlic and parsley is a revelation! Only the Vinho Verde could be a tiny bit colder but this is certainly minuscule… definitely a “get there again for dinner “…. if you are into beaux arts - the location offers beautiful paintings of Ernesto Mies and Kerstin Wagner

Would highly recommend visiting and booking a reservation. We were able to get a spot without one, but the restaurant was busy, so we were lucky to get in! Food was delicious and they offer a small menu, all of which are appealing options. One person at our table has a myriad of allergies, but they were able to make alterations without any issues. We ordered the “normal” portion size, which was definitely generous and a lot to eat! Would highly recommend! They also offer cooking classes for €65.

A truly wonderful experience, friends had recommended and we were so pleased that the dinner lived up to their expectations. A very tasty menu, beautifully presented, the mango dessert was one of the best I have ever enjoyed. So looking forward to tasting the new menu in a few weeks.

Very nice restaurant! Food, ambience and service are excellent. They have a great selection of fresh, seasonal dishes with lovely fish, meat and vegan options. I can warmly recommend!

This place is a must visit!!! It's so welcoming and you will be truly well looked after. The owners Annette and Martin are so lovely and passionate about their business. The food is amazing, I would highly recommend the seared tuna, if was our absalute fave. The prices are very good, we had tapas, mains, drinks and dessert for 2 people for roughly 50 euros. Annette also makes beautiful salts which you can try, it's such a nice place, I hope you can visit. Also they even have an app that the owner Martin created himself, it has info about the menu along with local insights. 5 stars!! ❤

The best restaurant I tried in whole Portugal until now.
Food was delicious and cooked to perfection.
Lamb and fish quality and veggies was superb.
The soup was awesome although I am not a “Soup Persob”
It is a family ran high quality business.

Best restaurant we've been in Carvoeiro. The german chef serves delicious portuguese food. We had beef, black pig and fish. Each of it was just amazing. Prices are almost to cheap compared to the quality and taste you get. You definitely need to check out this place.

Slightly out of the main areas but we’ll worth the short walk. The food was absolutely top notch and the staff were lovey and very helpful. My wife and I both went for the same options which were goats cheese on tomato to start and calf and black pig on fried Madeira banana and lasagna- which sounds like an odd combo but the tastes were fantastic. The lasagna had no meat or cheese and was layered with pumpkin. We both loved it and would happily go back. Also, it’s reasonably priced. Highly recommend as something a bit different!

Super friendly happy staff and great food. We were worried at first when asked if we had reservations if maybe it was a special booking only place but no they were very accommodating. The staff were happy to talk us through some options and help with our choices even pointing out what we ordered might not be best for our part (being vegetarian). The staff offered (if we trusted they were nice enough to add) to make us up some vegetarian dishes to suit our needs and boy did they deliver. The food was excellent way beyond what we expected deep flavours and multiple complex dishes which for a none vegetarian restaurant was amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful and at the end of the night the chef came to say hi. Can't fault them if you are vegetarian come try them you won't be disappointed. 10/10

One of the best meals we had in Portugal! Everything was excellent, but we especially loved the homemade pralines for dessert. We visited on our last night in Carvoeiro, and were sad to learn we were missing their Christmas Market the following day - so our server brought out all the cookies and crafts they planned to sell at the market and sent us home with a package of assorted Christmas cookies. They also have a cute little shop area with homemade goods for sale, including flavored salts, jams, and the best honey we've ever tried (rosemary orange flavored). Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

Flavorful, humble and welcoming this has become one of my favorite restaurants in the Algarve. Their dedicated weekly menus, the food quality and their prices do not disappoint. This has been my 3rd time here since I came here twice, last year.

Researched for some food places around town and Martin’s came up. Highly recommend their service and menu. Their tapas starters were amazing and definitely recommend their seared tuna as a main.

We were the first customers to arrive and Annette was so lovely. their restaurant also included a little shop that included homemade sunglass/mask chains and different spices.

Would definitely come back!

Not just the best food we've have in Portugal but also the best service we've had in Portugal. As a group of 4 vegetarians, we were delighted to have a wide selection of choices for tapas style starters and a special for main - but as well as this the service staff gave a chef special. Everything was DELICIOUS. We had an absolute feast and were well looked after the entire time. Our only regret was that we didn't save space for dessert. Thank you, Martins Kulinarium!
