Largo da Praia de Carvoeiro

Absolutely stunning. We visited for the day, whilst travelling around Portugal in February. The beach is spectacular and the whole town has a lovely atmosphere.

Gorgeous sheltered beach, the village is beautiful, lots of little shops and cafe / restaurants. We visited in February and there were quite a few people around, it's usually hard to find parking so I would imagine that in Summer months it would be very very busy and parking would be extremely difficult. Not far from Benagil if you want to see the caves.

The waves were quite big in February but still fun and beautiful. We just didn't go too far in the water with the string current .

Beautiful little beach spot on a small square. Great sunset watching in the off season. Have a drink at Barco but don't forget a hat and sunglasses.

A must vist for both the views and great example of a Moorish castle.

Pretty little town with great selection of hotels, restaurants, bars, art galleries. Very nice views of the coast if you walk up a bit and take the coastal path!

Very nice and quiet Resort. 4 swimming pools, tennis courts and a midget golf course. Has a Café, a Restaurant and a Supermarket. There are quite a few, popular, Restaurants in the vicinity.
There is a great hiking trail along the Resort of about 6 km called the Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos. Along the trail you can find about 14 caves/sink holes of which the Benagil cave is the most popular.

Small but beautiful beach with a fair number of shops situated around the vicinity. Great place to soak up the sun and just spend the day chilling and lazing on the sand.

Fantastic beach. Easy and clean access. April/ May already seem busy. Amazing views up the coastline if you explore up. The boat ride is a must, with Jonny and his lovely team.

Such a cool place to check out and explore. I wish I had an entire day to just hang out here! So beautiful and breathtaking.

Nica small beach, clean water, cold ( it's not yet Mediterranean see) nice walk around the cliffs around. Come early during high season if you want to find a parking and a good spot on the beach. Lots of shops and restaurants walking distance. Can also take a worthy boat tour for 1h in tha caves. 25€. It is small boats but they can go in every cave compare to the bigger one.

This beach is small but absolutely beautiful. The area is similar to Albufeira but far more local. As such, the food is to die for. A must visit.

I saw it during my boat trip from Portimao to Benagil caves, then I took a bus and went there (around 25 minutes from Portimao with bus). Such an amazing place , there is a footpath going on top of the caves and at few points you can also go in the caves. Spent around 2 hours walking on the footpath. View from the top are mind-blowing. It's a good place for everyone, couples, groups and families (just be more careful if you are traveling with kids).

Huge shells, close to shops, restaurants etc., Amazing cliffs around. Perfect for sun set views. Sand is very nice, my children love IT.

Gorgeous blue water & dramatic scenery. Come earlier to secure a spot for your towel, gets very crowded after 10 am

This is a gorgeous little beach town. This is the beach from where Carvoeiro Caves operates their Benagil Caves boat tours out of (see my photo of their Kiosk). There are decent FREE washrooms with showers close to the beach so you can rinse off the salt. Lots of shops, a music/ performance stage and plenty of nice restaurants nearby. There is free parking at the top of the hill to the east next to a place called Ermida de Nossa Senhora da Encarnação. The little cave at the west end of the beach is a really cool spot to wander over to.

Beautiful, sandy beach with lots of restaurants close by. Get pretty full because of this. Peaceful sunsets.

A beautiful cliff-backed Algarvian beach, popular with sun bathers and backed with pretty buildings and the town of Carvoeiro with a great range of cafes, restaurants and shops. Walk up the steps at the side of the beach for spectacular views of the beach and the coastline beyond.

First time here...excellent..will be back again...lovely and clean and the people so so friendly...........one of the best places I've been to.
