There is NO view of the sunset sadly The restaurant is nestled in a beautiful rocky cove by the ocean. Specializing in grilled dishes mostly. Had a great piri piri and shrimps in garlic. My partner had the portabello mushroom dish and enjoyed it. Their house white wine was really good we got a bottle. Afterdark lighting was a bit Intense they need indirect light, not floodlights to the face.

I got lucky having lunch at Boneca Bar. Despite being told they don't take reservations, they actually took a phone call for one when I arrived. We got there just as it opened and were instructed to choose any table once they finished setting up. Ordering took a bit of time, but it was entertaining to see the line at the nearby Boneca Cave grow rapidly - it even extended across the patio! The food, cooked on an open grill, was a delightful surprise in its taste. Though I wish it were less crowded, I suppose this place is always bustling. Bon appétit! I certainly enjoyed mine.

I had the pleasure of dining at Boneca Bar, located in the heart of Carvoeiro cliffs, Portugal, and it was a truly delightful experience. The restaurant's stunning views added to the overall ambiance, making it a perfect spot for a memorable meal.

The attentive staff, particularly the American-sounding girl who served us, deserves a special mention for their excellent service. Their friendliness and professionalism enhanced our dining experience.

As for the food, I opted for the Piri Piri chicken, and it was absolutely fantastic. The flavors were rich and the dish had the right level of spiciness, making it a must-try for anyone visiting Boneca Bar. I also enjoyed the house wine and the white wine sangria, both of which complemented the meal perfectly.

With such a wonderful combination of great service, delicious food, and breathtaking views, I can confidently say that my visit to Boneca Bar was a memorable one. I'm already looking forward to returning to this gem of a restaurant in the future. It's an easy 5-star rating from me!

Such an unexpected find along the clifftops. Amazing Calamari, great friendly service in a very beautiful, unusual setting. (To look down on from the boardwalk we called it the 'Star Wars Cafe'!) Loved this place.

Just the location of the restaurant worth every penny you pay for, and if beside the location you also eat fantastic, that’s is BINGO !!

Most amazing and unique location that cannot be missed. Delicious white Sangria (1L for 20eur) and spectacular fish of the day (dourada) made on the grill. Also the chips were very good for a very fair price. Totally recommend!

Great little bar. We went with about 15 people after our wedding. The service was quick and efficient. We felt well cared for. Which I found was more a rarity in Portugal than the norm. Aside from the service the location is amazing.

We were there during the day and got some great photos on the surrounding rocks. I bet it looks even better at night

The perfect location with great views onto the sea as well as the perfect spot for sunsets.

Food is simple but very good - everything fresh from the BBQ, great wine selection and super friendly staff. Staff is very attentive and the place also does give blankets to their guests, as it gets cold after sunset.

Worth a walk or drive to. Lovely little bar on the cliff, large outdoor seating area under large canopies. We didn't have any food , but it looked and smelt great. We had a few drinks and soaked up the rekaxing atmosphere. Prices were reasonable and worth it. A scramble on the rocks afterwards was fun and you can also climb down into the sea from one part or jump from a specific area if you are brave.

Wow, like a sunken oasis in a desert of rock. Absolutely amazing place with equally amazing food. Worth a cab ride from Albufeira just for the home made lemonade and green salad. Don’t miss it.

That was, without a doubt, the best grilled salmon I ever had. And I do eat salmon pretty often. My gf had the grilled sea bass, pretty good but the salmon was better. This is not a cheap restaurant, if you're on a budget, don't go here. If you can afford to spend a bit more, you really want to try this. The ambiance is really nice as well, and the sunset from the "private" terrace is magnificent

Seriously amazing location on the cliffs over the ocean. Stopped in for a few starters and a few drinks. Had a great time. The staff were excellent. Ask for Francis. He was one of the better staff we have run into on our trip. Knows his wine. Foods is great. Reasonably priced given its location. Good wine list.

Couvert and drinks with a view. We walked up to Algar Seco to take in the great view and rock formations and stopped here just for a snack. It's a very nice restaurant and doesn't really do snacks but we had the couvert with ewes/cows milk cheese and some sardine paste. A large beer, by that I mean 40cl or caneca, if you order a large you might get the comedy litre stein for €10.00. (I may or may not have done this with unsuspecting friends in the past). Lovely food, great staff and reasonable prices. A must see.

Nice casual restaurant in an unusual location. Good atmosphere. Decent food, must-do sardines. Only disappointment was the burger from the children's menu that was dry as a bone.

A seriously fantastic hidden gem along the Carvoeiro boardwalk. Friendly staff, delicious food from meat to vegetarian and a good variety of fish too. Prices are reasonable and cheaper than expected for a venue sited in such a great location. The food was served timely and by friendly staff. Can get a little cold late on the evenings (in April) so worth taking a jacket, they do however provide a complimentary blanket for you to use. This place comes highly recommended if you are looking for something a little different from eating and drinking in the main town. They also serve great cocktails to complete your night out!

Will need to book a table but well worth it. Not the cheapest place, but good value for money because the food is really good and the setting of this restaurant is one of the best around this area. Have read reviews that say the food and service aren't up to much and that this place is all about the view. We found the food was really good and the service was good too. Would definitely come back.
