Fair price, generous portions and good service.
My wife is pregnant and the waiter was super cautious with the recommendations to her.
The food was very well prepared, super tasty and well served.
I will definitely come back here and recommend the restaurant to my friends.

First night in Carvoeiro and we set out for Octopus. We researched this place and set out.

Service was the best we had in Portugal.

We had Octopus, Seafood Catplana, Shrimp Spaghetti , Chicken Skewers with peanut sauce and Steak with Mushroom sauce. Everyone was more than pleased with the food quality.

Prices were pretty decent and fair.

I can say that this place was full with people and many other spots in the same area were empty.

I would recommend.

Casa Algarvia's prawns were out-of-this-world good, and the cakes were simply fantastic—maybe even cloud-baked. The tuna and salmon pates were incredibly delicious, making the whole dining experience a delightful culinary journey. Kudos to Casa Algarvia for a stellar meal!

It is a perfect location for dinner after my watching the sunset at Algar Seco, with only 10’minutes of walking. I had a roast cod for the first time in life, and the portion of the seafood dish was huge!! The restaurant looked to be very popular for the locals, it was completely full between 7-8pm on a Sunday evening!

We ate twice at Casa Algarvia (somewhat due to our choice of a low season trip and the resulting restaurant closures. Id say 60%+ of restaurants close during the winter season.) This restaurant was a very popular choice among locals and long term stays. Our first night we enjoyed 800 gr (sold by weight) of the freshest Sea Bass, introduced to us at our table. Preparation was outstanding over a hot wood fire. It was also the most expensive of our meals in the Algarve with price per lb. equivalent to US prices. The 2nd visit we went old school Portuguese with Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá (roasted salt cod) and Porco à Alentejana (roasted pork and clams.) The pork and clams was delicious but the cod was a bit too strong flavored. (The nature of salt cod I believe.) We had an excellent green salad each night and the wine list was fantastic and filled with local favorites. Service was very attentive even with this being the most crowded place in Carvoeiro.

Dine here for a couple of times during my stay in the Algarve. It offers Portuguese cuisine with a good menu variety at a fair price. I tried their steak dishes and a glass of Port wine, which was delicious and satisfying. Loved it!

The restaurant vibe was pleasant and the service was nice. However, they tend to serve all the food together. If you're with a big group, be prepared to wait a while for your orders to arrive.

Food is excellent and staff couldn't be more helpful, great place to eat.

Had 2 mains (fish cataplana, and steak with peppercorn sauce) as well as 1 litre bottle of water and bottle of house wine for 54 euros. The fish cataplana was amazing and a very large portion. Never had a dish like that before! Must try! The service was good, a female waitress even gave us 2 glasses of port wine on the house for us to try! Highly recommended during a stay in Carvoeiro.

Second time dining here and I can only say good things about it. Great service, excellent fresh fish dishes, awesome rib-eye (for only 20 euros) and well priced wines. Nothing bad to say

We visited this restaurant today for lunch and couldn’t not have been more pleased! The employees welcomed our big group and were very helpful to answer our questions. The service was prompt and efficient. The food was excellent. We tried the prawns starter (got a photo of it after we had already finished half), the mushrooms with thyme starter, two types of cataplana, the bacon-wrapped chicken kebab, and the squid. Not one complaint about anything!!! Definitely visit this restaurant if you ever are in Carvoeiro.

The food here is amazing. The staff in the kitchen were working hard, and it shows.
Service was excellent, and the best we had in Portugal while on vacation.
The Octopus was mouth watering, and ultra tender.

Went there for lunch and was greeted by the most friendliest of staff who put the heaters on for us as we had to eat outside with the dog, he offered us blankets too. We then had a fabulous lunch - we all had something different and it was all delicious. Would recommend going as all the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Absolutely delicious food. The squid 🦑 was surprisingly more delicious and tender than the octopus 🐙. Order both to try!

Lovely place. We ordered the catch of the day golden bream (500g) which came to EUR25 and it came with roasted potatoes and vegetables (you can choose other sides instead). Super fresh and delicious. Big portions too - the photo only shows half of the meal as they kindly helped to separate it into two plates.
The dessert (carob and lemon) was delicious too.

One of the best meals we had in Portugal. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating and our food was outstanding. Great Cataplana and fantastic shrimp dish in garlic sauce. Truly authentic and beautiful Portugese food experience.

We’ve been coming to here for 7 years and have never been disappointed.
From prawn salad , Peppercorn Steak to the amazing rack of Lamb.
Staff is very friendly. Can be very busy so book a reservation.

The restaurant Casa Algarvia is a perfect place if you want to have typical Portuguese food.
The restaurant offers a nicely decorated inner area and a terrace. The menu in six languages covers a good choice of regional dishes.
We had lunch in mid-March 2023 and chose two of their specialties: "cataplana de peixe" (fish cataplana) and oven Baked cod.
Both dishes were outstanding in taste, quality of fish, and quantity. In addition, the prices are reasonable and adequate for what you get.
The service was friendly and courteous. I can strongly recommend this restaurant.
Like any of my reviews, of course, this review is related to the type of restaurant, the restaurant's gastronomic objective, the overall gastronomic quality of the respective city, and the general context and needs to get compared to similar types of restaurants.

Best food we’ve had in Portugal so far, which is saying something since it’s all been so very good. They were also very accommodating to our 1 year old baby, finding room for us and offering to get her order started before anything else since they knew babies don’t like to wait. Can’t wait to come back!
