This is the #1 restaurant in all of Sao Martinho do Porto by far. This small, comfortable restaurant makes you feel at home with a very warm atmosphere and the kindest employees. We enjoyed the sirloin, grilled sea bass and the monkfish and prawn pasta for 2. All meals were incredible, but the pasta was phenomenal. It’s served boiling in a large bowl and does not taste fishy at all, but still has the fish flavour to
it. Everything made is local, and evident by the freshness of the food. The lime cheesecake was also made in house and very good. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

The Shrimp/Monkfish pasta stew main is definitely worth getting, cooked beautifully and really filling. There is a rice option with the dish also.

The desserts are delicious and made in-house. The lime cheesecake, Miss Daisy and strawberry crumble are all lovely.

Try some of their homemade cherry liquer if you can.

I couldn't recommend this place enough.

This was by far our favorite restaurant. We started our meal with the bread basket, olives and cheese. We then had the monkfish and prawn pasta for 2 served boiling in a large pot and it was amazing. The service was just as phenomenal as the food. The place is small and very cozy. Definitely recommend!

A wonderful find. Tucked away in the higher part of Sao Martinho this traditional restaurant offers an excellent selection of fish and meat dishes. We went for the special of Monkfish and prawn pasta which was delicious. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was incredible, will definitely be back.

We had a lovely dinner here and the seafood platter for two really was more than enough for us. Great food and drink, would definitely recommend.

Incredible food and wonderful atmosphere. In a quaint part of town away from the busyness of the beach. The prawn and monkfish stew was a highlight of our trip so far. Worth every penny.

Although in the pricey side, I believe quality price to be good. We had the massa de tamboril com gambas and a grilled dourada and it was awesomely made. The seasoning of the pasta and the grill of the fish was just perfect. The oven potatoes were also amazing. Deserts were not their strength but all the rest very good!!! Definitely a good option in Sao martinho

Just here to say that the authenticity of the comments with low ratings could be more realistic with pictures, if you can't then it might suggest that is competition trying to sabotage. Either way, i say yes to the place, it is oneof the best places I've eaten, yes the house is small and sometimes you have to wait a bit because no one likes to kick out costumers that prelong their stay, yes the price is notthe cheapest because the food is "always" made on the day. I miss that place. One of the best near the beach. And forgot to say that it is good that its location is hard to get so it can drive away cheap and arrogant costumers.

Our fish was cooked perfect. So tasty as well as the fries and salad. Desert was amazing. Well done chef. We will definitely be back!!

Hidden gem at the top of the elevator & close to the church. The food is fantastic. We had the fish stew with rice. It was huge and enough for four people! There were only two of us & we ate it all. I could eat there every day. The service & setting was wonderful. I can't wait to go back.

Small bistro type restaurante with a fabulous menu and excellent food. Portions were generous but elegante and the food was absolutely delicious. We were a big group, so got to taste many of the options and everything excelled. Great find!

A small room tucked away near the church in the upper town, this is truly a gem. Arrive early or (better) make a reservation to be sure of eating here. The young waiting staff are friendly, helpful and usefully trilingual (Portuguese, French, English) and made our unplanned visit a delight. Delicious food, including daily fresh fish sold by weight and some interesting Portuguese specialities. Highly recommended

I have not tried any other restaurante in São Martinho do Porto to be honest, but I have had my fair share of sea food restaurants throughout Portugal, and I have to acknowlede this small and cozy restaurant for the best "cataplana de marisco" I have ever had. The serving for 2 is enough for 4 easy, and so delicious, my god! It was my birthday so I was offered a bottle of wine on a takeaway. Couldn't be better honestly. The staff were more than helpful and very nice to a degree that we are not used to anymore. I would give 6 stars if it was possible. Unique experience if you are a turist, a must have if you are a local.

Very good food. Excellent seafood rice .

It's a small restaurant with not the most cossy interior, but that's just a minor detail when you chose a dish made with shellfish broth (caldo do mariscos). While some cooks spice up with peper and salt, it is not the case here: the natural flavor is respected. We had the rice with lobster. We advice to let the pot standing on your table for 5 more minutes so the rice absorbes all the broth . As the rice is only prepared when you order, you should expect to wait 30 minutes. That's the way it should be, freshly prepared.

Cute charming place and good food. Very romantic in the historic quarter. Must go.
