A truly beautiful camping place!! The new owners put their soul to make this place a magic place full of healing, good vibrations, feeling of home and everything you need in order to have a pleasant staying! The staff is super friendly, and wants to make your stay as lovely and truly healing as possible!!
This place calls in a way always the "right" people and you feel to be in the right place at the right time. We enjoyed our stay so so much and we are truly happy to have won a new family :)

Great place with hot showers. The place is situated in a little town just a couple of minutes away from Nazaré. And if you go to Nazaré in the high season, this place will be the best refuge from the tourist crowds!
The beach is behind a hill and offers plenty of space, better than the one in Nazaré!
The owner is super helpful and always up for a nice chat at the fire bowl. Highly recommend this place and will definetly come back again!

We arrived for one night and stayed for two. The place has great energy thanks to Neil who runs the camp. Great location to go on day trips in the area. Highly recommended! Clean showers and toilets. Quiet and calm. Breakfast and coffee. A fire is burning in the public space. family atmosphere.
Highly recommended for families as well.

We had a short but lovely stay at Neill‘s campside. He’s a great host. It’s a small and clean campside with everything you need and some nice little details ( e.g. light breakfast included)
if you like sitting in the evening at the campfire with a glass of wine or beer and listening to good music than its the place to be

Holly grail of Portugal camping, toilet seats & paper! Clean, super friendly & relaxed vibe. Cool indoor & outdoor chill out areas, a natural environment to mingle or find a compfy quiet spot out the sun for a day. Free breakfast plus shops & restaurants a minute or 2 walk away. My young son & myself came for 1 night, stayed for 2, both had a blast, we will be back. Cheers Neil, our highlight of camping in 8000km

Can’t recommend this highly enough, was only meant to stay a couple days which turned to over a week. Very relaxed environment with plenty of restaurants and beautiful beaches near by. Neill the owner is a great guy and very attentive to guests. His 5€ driving service is amazing for travellers without a car. Definitely recommend and will come back again!

Neill and his Crazy (crazy cute!) gang of cats were the Best Hosts ever! We experienced a Beautiful campsite with great people, a nice barbecue evening and overall some relaxing days by the beautiful beach of sao martinho nearby.

We arrived at Travelvan-Park Salgado with low expectations as we’d been camping across the Portuguese coastline and had so far only come across large, soulless and expensive sites. But we were pleasantly surprised to find that Travelvan-Park was so much more than this.

Firstly, the facilities are great. The bathroom is clean; the showers (hot) have that lovely pebbled/stone flooring, so you don’t instantly feel grotty the moment you step out. The loos have both a toilet seat AND toilet role! If you’ve camped anywhere else in Portugal you’ll know that this is only a luxury reserved for hotels.
There are two really nice communal areas to be enjoyed. Inside, there are plenty of places to sink into a comfortable chair or sofa and read a book, eat, snuggle by the fire, or listen to some music (the owner has a great taste so I spent most of my time in there Shazamming his entire playlist). Alternatively, there are a number of tables and chairs outside, along with a kitchen area to cook and prepare food, and a BBQ that the owner kindly fires up on a Saturday.
The site itself isn’t huge, but pitch sizes are good, so we felt we had plenty of room to spread out and feel we had our own space.

In terms of the location; we were a 15 mins bike ride/5-10 mins drive from Nazare, or more locally there is a shop on the same road, a number of restaurants in stumbling distance, and plenty to do within a 1 mile radius (jurassic fossil finding, beautiful beach walks, local markets, etc).

The owner is a really nice guy who takes care of everyone well. He clearly enjoys creating a good atmosphere for people to relax, and feel comfortable, and he’s really good at it too!
He recommended a number of restaurants and things to do in the local area, and they did not disappoint. Additionally, I’m not sure if it was just opportune timing or not, but a fresh pot of delicious coffee was on offer every morning that we stayed - how good is that!

It’s worth mentioning that the site was under different management a couple of years ago, and the guy who used to run it has moved elsewhere and the place has had some serious renovations since, so any reviews older than 1-2 years aren’t really relevant.

In summary; we were supposed to stay for 1 night and we stayed for 5 - this place is fantastic, and if I could leave 10 stars I would!

We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but it's ended up to be almost a week. It's a chilled place where you can feel relaxed and meet people around a fire at night. Neill the owner is a good guy, really helpful and understable. I just can recommend this place!

It’s really amazing place with great music, night fire, great people. Clean and snug. I had great time there with my daughter , was able to work and relax. Thanks Neil the host always ready to help and drive you if you need. Miss this place so much and hope I will be back :)

Great place for staying all year round. The host is a great guy very friendly and welcoming. All the facilities are just as described on the website. Clean, simple but together they all bring a nice cosy atmosphere.

Outstanding little site. Small site run enthusiastically by the hard working, dedicated owner Neil. Spotless toilets and showers with the all important added addition of toilet seats and toilet paper. There is a kitchen area that has everything you need to prepare and cook food. Neil runs regular bbqs and only asks for a donation for food. You can use this bbq for yourself as well. Good wifi. Well stocked ‘camping’ shop with all sorts of spares. Washing machine available. Grey waste disposal on site.Really nice outside area to sit around the fire pit at night. Also a very large quiet chill out area indoors. A simple but effective breakfast is provided for everyone with lovely coffee included. We easily cycled to Nazare about 4 miles away but Neil will take you for €5 if needed. All in all a smashing little site but two words of warning: park up before you arrive and take advice on entry as there is another way and 2nd, definitely book. Was full the whole time we were here. Loved it thx!!

Very relaxing atmosphere on the campsite.
The host was very friendly, helpfull and gave us a great restaurant for diner.

Showers and toilets were very clean.
Nice bonus was the cornflakes and toast in the morning.

Got really lucky stumbling onto this place. Planned to only stay a couple nights as we explored Nazare and the surrounding area, it ended up being 4. They've got a hostel dorm, space for tents or caravan, plus a few permanently there for rent (we did this one) you can tell the guys running it really care about the space and you can seem them out there working on making it better on a daily basis. Free breakfast, they light a fire every night, really communal vibe here. Highly recommended.

Very clean and cozy camping. Owners are super welcoming, very community-like. Only thing to point out of the sound-proofing of the toilets, but that's more philosophy than a problem per se, i feel. Overall I really enjoyed my time there and can recommend

A really special place. Simple, yet very complete and comfortable. With a great owner that really makes an effort for the guests to be comfortable and have a great stay. You can definitely feel that there is a lot of love in running this place. Thanks a million!

Have stayed here for a while, was really enjoying the relaxed atmosphere in this place. It is nice and quiet and close to the beach. The two new owners (really nice people) are changing and building the place every day into something beautiful. They have a love for plants and flowers that are still growing from seeds at the moment. But I’m sure that in the future there would be a lot of colours around here and some vegetables to eat. It’s a pet friendly place where dogs and cats walking around the camping site.

There is a vision to make it into a comfort place where people can meet, socialize, coming together, chill-out, relax and have some fun. There is an indoor and outdoor area where people can meet. With indoor some nice paintings of spirituality, what is for sell as well, music, games, books, a fireplace and some tables to work or eat. There is an outdoor kitchen witch everyone can use, a fireplace, some tables just to hang out and a little shop. Most of the evenings there is a fire and people coming together, even sometimes with local people.

The place has a couple of stands for campers and caravans. There are some caravans to rent, a dorm room and a private Airbnb room with his own shower and toilet. The camping site have electricity and water by the camping site, hot showers and a place to empty grey water from your camper(van).

At the moment, there building up to some activities to do in the area like: (surf)tours, horse riding, quad driving and more. You can walk in the mountain behind the place. It was full of beautiful butterflies.

It’s already a magical place and it will even get more magical. Would recommend this place and will come back when I’m close by. Just to see the owners again and my curiosity of the progress of the place! Enjoy your stay!

I absolutely LOVE this quirky quiet extremely chilled camper park. It's under new management ... & these guys are great. It's green & lush with great walks right from your camper. Good large supermarkets to stock up but also a very well stocked little village store in easy walking distance. Friendly, super relaxing, close to Nazaré & São Martinho with great markets. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back!

One of the best experiences of our trip. The site is lovely, and the location is great, but the best thing is the cool atmosphere and the warm hospitality of Neil, the owner. We were lucky to get there(by chance)

Amazing spot ! Amazing people and super cozy, comfortable and pretty place. I stayed in the big dormitory and it was nice and warm. Tasty breakfast to wake up to. :)
