Restaurante Tia Caia

Wow, what a dinner it was!! The restaurant itself is very pretty inside, and the food was just amazing. When we went there was only one waiter but he was doing everything he could to be as fast as possible to serve everybody, and he did a very good job. We had a soup to start and then the octopus rice, which was incredible. Our friends had different cuts of beef, and they were all tasting incredibly good. The waiter then suggested a particular wine to have with the meat, and it was very good choice. As desserts the awakened pear was very good, and the different cakes were also tasty. Definitely recommended.

A large selection of wines, delicious rice meals, good surprise dessert. You don’t have to reserve a table in advance! Would recommend.

What a place! Totally worth a walk up the hill from Nazare downtown. Fresh mariscos, good meat, decent selection of wines, and that salty chocolate dessert - true championship... Do not hesitate to book a place for a dinner!

The owner was so warm and friendly which made us feel very welcome. The food was the best we have had in Portugal and we had been in the country for over a week. The bread was so fresh and the accompaniments were well thought out- good olive oil, Tempenade and a great garlic mayo. The tomato rice and fish was so so flavourful. They made it for us even though it is typically a Saturday only dish.

We had an amazing dinner! We tried the lamb chops and octopus rice. Especially the octopus rice was one of the best dishes we ever had. Thanks to Carlos, who made our night at Tia Caia perfect! We felt welcome everytime.

We went late to the restaurant but the owner still served us warm and delicious food with full attention. We enjoyed every dish! We had the sausage platter, fish soup and the octopus rice. Never have we thought that octopus could melt in the mouth!!! Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!

Beyond outstanding from start to finish. Generous portions and fresh quality ingredients. Amazing house wine paired correctly as well (white & red). Nice house bread and olive tapenade as well. Worth a visit!! Must say, the owner/manager/server created a memorable experience for us.

Amazing place, great wine, deliciois food amazing deserts. We had octopus rice witch was DELICIOUS and my friend had some fish which was also very good. Some green wine to make everything perfect and the cherry on top was the desert, caramel cheesecake.

I suggest getting only one risotto for two people, as it is a lot! (A little bit too cooked).

the master is so kindness person. the menu is nice price and delicious for me. especially baguette with vegetable soup is perfect! :)

Yesterday 9 September, we visited this restaurant without reservation. We were lucky as you won't be able to get a table if you don't have a reservation. Very good meat dishes and local wine selection. We must say that the service was superb as one lady managed all tables on her own. Heads off to her ! Incredible service ! One day we will be back.

The “Big Shrimp” dish in garlic sauce (forgot to take a picture) - was amazing!! Would highly recommend this restaurant. Additionally, Pedro and his wife Caia (the chef!) are lovely. Had a great experience!

A completely lucky decision to go here after our first choice team failed to turn up. We were first to arrive and had doubts, then a Scottish lady who happened to be a chef, walked up and told us of her late night meal three days beforehand.
We listened, followed her guidance and went in.
One lady was front of house, I suspect one but definitely not more than two in the kitchen, prepared our incredible food accompanied by a first class wine.
Two of us had giant shrimps to start, with an utterly amazing source, followed by shrimp with rice for me and vegetarian mushroom risotto for my wife.
All three dishes deserved 10/10 and the service whilst slower was first class.
It is worth noting that we arrived at 19:10 and it was empty, by 20:00 it was 90% full.
The only area that was not fabulous was the light, which needs a softer, more rustic approach but otherwise this was 10/10.

Maybe the best restaurant in Sitio de Nazare. Nice setting, friendly waiter, who actually is the owner, superb food. The waiter/owner remined ma a lot to the waiter in "Dinner For One!".

We came here two nights in a row just for takeout. The meat was cooked to perfection and the lime cheesecake was heavenly. The chef and the waiters were very kind and even recommended wines to us both nights. Definitely stop by here!

This was our favourite restaurant so far in Portugal. A friend suggested this place and it did not disappoint! Four of us dined tonight and all of us enjoyed the wine, meal, and dessert. Great value as well! What a delightful place!!

Big wonderful flavor in small beach town. A meal this high in quality and full of flavor would cost $$$$ anywhere else in the world. Atmosphere is nice, service is unbelievably kind and fun.

For 6 people, 3 bottles of wine and multiple remakrkabel entrees and side dishes and appetizers we came to 150, I highly recommend! Mixture of fish and meat dishes on the table everything was fantastic
