The ham and thick bread is excellent, get a plate along with some green wine (veno Verde). If you love Porto football come here too, the walls are covered in photos. Great place for some good ham and wine. We were brought here on our food tour and liked the place and the owner.

Great bifahna , nice cod cakes and amaizing atmosphere with the prosciutto hamging from the ceiling and all Porto FC souveniers around.

Nowadays, it's difficult to find a typical and good place to eat in Porto at "normal" prices! Casa Louro is one of those places!
We tried bifanas, bolinhos de bacalhau and presunto com broa de avintes. All products seem high quality and local!
The people that work here are really friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is still from a typical snackbar from the old times!
Perfect if you want to visit a traditional restaurant/snackbar in downtown.

Popped in for a quick bite, shared a bifana and freshly shaved ham an cooled off with a beer. Quick and friendly. Great off square find.

I’m so glad that I found this wonderful place, when I stood nearby searching for restaurants on Google. All the food I tried was delicious and the light sparkling Vino verde extremely good. And not the least the personal and friendly service of an English speaking owner/man in charge.

Great traditional Porto food: we had wonderful ham, very tasty sardines and cod croquettes. Great portions at a very affordable price: definitely recommend if you look for a friendly, informal and authentic local environment.

Went here as a friend of mine recommended it. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing experience! They pushed two tables together for all 6 of us to fit on and it was a lovely break from the busy streets outside 😊 10/10 would recommend!

This type of bar is very authentic and pure. the very friendly barman gave us a mix of all the stuff he was surrounded - ham and sausages hanging from the roof - and a Bifana. Really amazing quality and tasty. We were really happy afterwards. Thanks a lot.

Another hidden gem! This place might not be the most obvious visit for tourists, but it's a mistake! They have the best meats in the city! I visited this place as part of a food and wine tasting tour and got to know the owners and their unique approach to meats. Highly recommend trying their chorizo-blood sausage combo baked in homebrewed palenka. It's something you won't find anywhere else!
