One of the best tours on the island, expect great views but also harsh terrain sometimes, both ways it could be 3-4 hours.

Just stunning!!
Just be careful on the way up & down as it can be quite steep in some sections, and the fence is not very well maintained. Well worth the effort, some of the best views on the Island!!

Magnificent views that make it worth the extra effort and going all the way!! You have to be careful where you walk and where you hold on the steel cables as they lack a little maintenance. When the clouds are not there, bring sunscreen and water as the sun is strong.

Lovely viewpoint, great view and breathtaking landscape around. It is not that hard to get there, up there is just 200m elevation gain. The track is slippery and narrow, take care. On many days there are strong wind and inside it are full pf dust and peaces of sand or rocks, sometimes hurtling little bit. It is also crowds in lunch time, fore sure take this route as soon as possible to make best views without people. Down above the peak is little bar for coffee or food.

Beautiful views, but you will struggle before reaching it. Don't put on your best shoes, the ground is red and sticky.any people 24/7, walking even at night. This place is definitely worthy to visit.

One of the best views in madeira. It's a little bit difficult this last part of the trail but it's worthit.

Very very nice viewpoint especially early in the morning when the colors were amazing. It is only a short extension of the official path. Later in the day, it gets too hot under the direct sun to be enjoyable. The hike up to the viewpoint is not demanding at all when it’s not warm but the “steps” were pretty big. Overall, the trail is clear and not technical.

PR8 until this spot is a must. Go early… then it is not so crowded and you can enjoy the sunrise

Incredible view and as far as I could see, they build the hiking path further. Passing in future the beach down there and on-going to the very last island. Amazing. I have to come back.

Some places are unbelievable beautiful. The landscape and all this surroundings worth the 3h trip, believe me.
You should do the entire trip; you will not regret any step!

Near the end, you will find a very nice place to enjoy a good lemonade and a poncha😉🙃 with the view.

We started our trip at 4 p.m and ended around 7.30 p.m (end of April ) in a day with little bit cloudy; we took a lot of pictures and a brake of 30 min at the restaurant in order to revive us. In 4 people we used a bottle of 2l of water.
We didn’t feel at all exhausted during this trip.

Beautiful walk for sure. If you make to the restaurant, you gonna make it to the top (I guarantee you as non fit person with no hiking boots). Go for sunrise or sunset, because during day time you will suffer from heat as there is no shade. Or take some water with you and cover your head. And if you want to make this trip easier - wear some proper boots (I did it with simple sports shoes, but saw a guy with converse hurting his foot pretty bad).

Beautiful hike! Takes about 3 hours from the carpark to the top and back, including a few drink and photo stops. Bring good hiking 🥾 cause the path is rocky and parts up/downhill can be slippery.

Miradouro Ponta do Furado proved to be an extraordinary destination, offering a starkly different but equally awe-inspiring experience compared to the West side of the island. Nestled amidst the rugged beauty of Madeira, this remarkable viewpoint showcased a breathtaking panorama that left me in complete awe.

The contrasting landscapes that greeted me at Miradouro Ponta do Furado were a testament to the diverse natural wonders of the island. The dramatic cliffs, lush greenery, and the endless expanse of the Atlantic Ocean colluded to create a picturesque scene that seemed straight out of a postcard. The beauty of the view was truly unmatched, leaving me speechless and eager to explore further.

The location of Miradouro Ponta do Furado made it an ideal starting point for invigorating hikes. The well-marked trails meandered through the stunning surroundings, offering opportunities to immerse oneself in the raw beauty of nature.

What set Miradouro Ponta do Furado apart was its distinctiveness from the West side of the island. The change in landscape and the unique vantage point provided a fresh perspective, allowing me to appreciate the island's diverse topography. It was a captivating contrast that highlighted the versatility and richness of Madeira's natural wonders.

This walk alone is worth a trip to Madeira.

Leave early and wear proper walking shoes! This part of Madeira is almost like a moonscape and has stunning landscapes. The final climb to the peak is not easy and the peak itself is in disrepair, so be careful at the top. But you will be rewarded with the most amazing views.

Amazing hike. TIP: Sunrise is spectacular. Every other time is a s$&@! show of people, parking and tour buses.

Wonderful view. The entrance to this place is demanding and the descent even more demanding, but it is worth the effort.
