Miradouro do Ponta da Ladeira

If you are looking for the perfect spot to watch the sunset, you got it! You can access easily by car and park there - however there are max 10 places. Don't stay in the parking lot, there is a small path leads down to numerous spot where you would get an even more stunning view. Unbelievable experience.

A little-known viewpoint of the cliff and the village below. There is a beautiful view of the sunset. Incredible peace.

Great viewpoint with magnificant landscape. For sure try sunset there! Be aware there are very steep hills around.

Parking in a near vicinity, 5-10min of walk and a lot of space so multiple groups of people will find their spot to enjoy sunset

Definitely a must-do for sunsets! Don’t miss it! Breathtaking views to the northwest coast! And not so overcrowded like other spots nearby.

Went there on a cloudy day with little to no hope about seeing the sunset, but then the sun went partially through the clouds that were at the same height as the mountain.

So I finally had a really beautiful and unique sunset :))

So quiet and amazing place

Very nice place for a sunset. Small parking though and two picnic tables. You can go down a little bit for a more quiet sunset and better view on the cliffs and terrasses.

Beautiful place, parking and benches. If you go a little lower you can see the queue.

Very cool overlook with views of Achadas da Cruz. You have to walk about a hundred meters down a short trail to get to the overlook. Do not recommend going if you're afraid of heights. There are no barriers.

Gorgeous spot for sunset, be careful going down to the ledge of the viewpoint, it can get slippery.

Magnificient viewpoint overlooking west. The narrow road from Porto Moniz side to viewpoint is also beautiful and there are some spots to stop and enjoy the view trough reed bushies.

Beautiful scenic walk down to Paul do mar. I would recommend a taxi back to the top, it’s hard work in the sun!
