Quinta das Achadas

I cannot say enough about how lovely our stay was at Quinta Das Achadas. Our hosts, Jill and Julio, made us feel like family. Our rooms had everything we needed, breakfast was always a spread, the heated salt pool was exquisite, and the location was central to everywhere we wanted to explore. We don’t often venture to same place twice but we definitely want to come back.

We had a really nice 2 week stay at Quinta das Achadas. For anyone on the fence, this is truly a hidden gem, as the pictures you'll find online don't do it justice. Not only are the facilities great but Jill and Julio really are great hosts and will do anything they can to make your stay pleasant. Jill refused to let us go home with dirty laundry, even though we felt guilty having her do it, she insisted. Every morning there was a delicious breakfast, our apartment was tidied while we were gone to the beach, on a few nights they cooked a tasty dinner for us (one of which we eat together with them and enjoyed very much), and they even offered to babysit if we wanted an evening out.
The location is also very nice. There's plenty to do in the neighbourhood. We spent 1 day at the zoo, we visited Lagos (15 min drive) which has a nice city center and harbour, and most importantly (for us at least), there are several beaches within a ~20 min drive, each pleasantly different, with unique views and restaurants.
All in all it was an incredibly relaxing stay and I recommend that anyone else looking for some time off considers this place!

A real life garden of Eden, Quinta das Achadas beat any and all of my expectations. Lovely hosts, spacious and cozy rooms. Great heated pool, breakfast in the sun on the terrace and the occasional communal dinner... Anything you'd expect from a perfect vacation. Bonus : the Quinta is well equipped for families with babies or toddlers.

If you are looking for somewhere that is chilled, laid back, away from the hustle and bustle of the Algarve then this is the place for you.

Amazing setup for young children, great hosts, and a location that allows for easy access to all the major tourist attractions in the south-west region of the Algarve. Perfect.

Unique and beautiful

Mei 2023:
Wat een super leuk optrekje, de mensen zijn heel erg aardig en doen hun uiterste best om het naar je zin te maken. Het ontbijt is simpel maar erg lekker, denk aan brood, ei, bacon, yoghurt div. soorten fruit, koffie, thee en sapje

Er is een zwembad(je) deze is verwarmd en is prima om even in af te koelen, ook is er een jacuzzi welke goed op temperatuur is.

Je mag nagenoeg overal gebruik van maken, er zijn div BBQ mogelijkheden, een complete buitenkeuken en een lekkere chill hoek met fijne banken en een mega grote tv.

Ook is er wel wat voor kinderen maar niet heel erg veel, de kleinere zullen zich er wel prima kunnen vermaken.

Vanaf de b&b kan je div richtingen uit m.b.t. vermaak. Denk aan winkelen, stranden restaurants, ook zijn er wel aquaparken en dierentuinen. Div aanbieders vanuit andere plaatsen om activiteiten te ondernemen, kortom, wil je rust dan zit je hier perfect. Om iets te ondernemen moet je er wel op uit, een auto is zeker aan te raden.

Dit jaar terug geweest bij Julio en Jill, wat een lieve mensen zijn het. Alles weer tot in de puntjes geregeld.
Lekker eten heerlijk bedje geen druk maar wel weer erg gezellig.
Dit jaar waren we hier met mijn schoonvader en schoonzus, ook hun hebben enorm genoten en komen graag nog eens terug.
Dus ja ik denk dat we hier volgend jaar weer zijn maar dan een paar manden later, oktober 2025 is de planning. Tot dan

We hebben een geweldige vakantie gehad.
De Quinta is heel mooi, super gezellig en Jill en Julio brengen een hele fijne sfeer.
Hun diners zijn dan ook zeker aan te raden.
We kunnen alleen maar zeggen: in 1 woord geweldig.

Het ligt wat afgelegen,dus wel een auto nodig, maar dan heb je ook wat!! Geweldig en charmante Quinta een weldaad van rust onder de palmen zowel op het terras als bij het zwembad. We hebben genoten van de gastvrijheid van Jill & Julio! Een aanrader!

Geweldig tijd hier gehad, aan niks ontbeerd. En de connectie met de eigenaren was verbluffend. Paradijsje, rust oord. Verbluffend.
Ineens werden de gezamenlijke diners de hoge-punten van onze vakantie in de Algarve. Zou het zo weer doen
