I’m so happy we randomly stopped for a lunch at this spot! Had truly great experience - the nicest server, great fresh food with variety of flavors and gorgeous view.
The prices are very fair for what you get, in any other country of Europe such a quality would be more expensive. Would come back to Portugal just for the experience like that.

Gorgeous place with great, fresh food. The menu is limited but I could still find vegetarian options.
Please note that they only accept cash.
The location is excellent (and you pay for that too).
The sangria was delicious but pricey compared to alcohol prices in the area.
The staff is lovely and helpful!

Always a pleasant way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon. Friendly service, exquisite dishes with fresh local ingredients and carefully selected wines on an outdoor terrace a short walk from an amazing beach. We couldn’t resist the ‘beauty and the beast’ large juicy clams in a Mad spicy sauce. Garlic, ginger, chilli, citrus, olive oil, spices, and herbs give the food a kick. Octopus, mushrooms, local smoked meats, fresh figs, anchovies and other Mediterranean staples are beautifully prepared and presented. At €45 per head including a bottle of sparkling wine Mad isn’t cheap, and it’s cash only, no cards…but it is classy. And we will be back.

Stunning food - can’t believe the place isn’t full all day every day. Came during winter, so not surprising I guess. The basque cheesecake is the best sweet thing I have ever eaten in my life - no competition 👏

If I could give a sixth star this Restaurant would deserve it. We went to this place because it has a lovely beach and we saw the good recommendations of this Restaurant. So we decided to eat there after a nice beach day. The view over the riff and the beach is fantastic. The drinks are very nice and the food is very very delicious. You can eat there like in a tapas Restaurant and share all together but you also can have plates for yourself. The staff is very nice and friendly, they all speak good englisch. Just Two recommendations: make a reservation and bring enough cash because you cannot pay by card.

Great experience! Nice food, well arranged and cooked. Service was very helpful and pleasant.
Tapas style was perfect for sharing. Libanese chicken, marinated salmon and dynamite prawns were awesome. Fried fries with dip and the pork filet were really tasty.
We will definitely come again!!

Great and fresh seafood, friendly and funny staff, good music choices, and we even attended a live guitar concert. The place is decorated with taste, and the view on the cliffs and sea makes it an amazing spot for a chill and quiet moment.

It is a dream place overlooking Vale Furado beach, about 20 kilometers from Nazare with a unique gastronomical experience. Nazare is the place of the Big Wave which world class surfers worship. After some 20 minutes drive you start feeling you will not reach anywhere significant but when you reach your destination you are greeted with wonderful surprise. The owner chef Slavo and his kitchen wizard Fabio do miracles with food. I loved his fresh cod fish, bacalhau but the john dory fish with citrus and basmati rice and delicate vegetables were also delicious. On good weather days, you can sit outside and admire the view. The color of the water and the sky and white bubbles of the waves are amazing. It is great value for budget. Slavo is a great host. You will leave the place wishing you could visit more often.

Perfect place to end a day at the beach... Amazing scenery, tasty food and confortable atmosphere to add these also friendly staff... Worth having this experience

The sign on main road attracked my eyes, my stomach asked to be filled and guess what, it didn't disappoint at all.
For a gastro bar I had some expectations.
The server was very friendly.
The food was delicious, I had seabass with rice, turmeric sauce and veggies.
It was tasty and the portion was decent.
I had a little space left for dessert and the japanese cheesecake caught my eye.
It was perfect, nice balance between the cheese and matcha, the yuzu flavor was minimal.

Amazing food. Had the cockles, razor clams, salmon, fries. All so good. Cockles were our favourite. Even tried barnacles! Also had the matcha yuzo cheesecake, yummm. The staff was amazing!

The ambiance is superb, I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Special thanks to chef who made all the recommendations for our dinner who went over and beyond to make our dining experience, one that we will never forget. Fresh food and we all enjoyed delicious seafood and salads.The evening was everything we hoped it would be. Book your table, enjoy the amazing views of the ocean, food and lovely service. We can't wait to go back to Portugal and dine in MAD again. Adam & Annie

Food is delicious, the most beautiful Sangria I ever saw - highly recommended!

Mad nailed it. Everything needed to make a lunch over looking beautiful a beach great was there. The menu has a full selection but not over doing it. The starters, special drinks and main course were perfect. Nice presentation too. Take a walk down the steps to the beach after the meal. You won’t regret it.
