Bar Rodrigues

Nice place to start the day. Toastadas and sandwiches, combined with excellent espresso. I recommend the homemade cake, ask which one will be served on that day. Perfect service.

We followed reviews to find good coffee, and Bar Rodrigues didn't disappoint. The poncha here is also good! Excellent value away from our hotel.
The seating is all outdoor and under cover with a beautiful small garden alongside, perfect for us but if you're hoping for a bar in the sun this isn't the one for you. Most people there were locals (a good sign I think). Very peaceful both times we went, and the staff were very friendly.
As the areas are outdoor, there's often people smoking here. We're quite sensitive to this but although not ideal, it wasn't awful as its all quite open for the breeze.

So glad we stumbled upon this bar while we were staying in Cainço. Great local spot with unbeatable prices. Poncha is fresh, plus big drinks menu. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. We loved it so much the first time we came, we made sure to come back before the end of our trip. They also have exceptionally clean toilets.

Excellent place for breakfast. The place is very nice, service is excellent and the food is great.

This place was an absolute highlight of our vacation. We came here every day to enjoy cheap and absolutely delicious drinks, snacks and coffee. Bar Rodrigues has a beautiful green terrace with many exotic plants. The bar is run by two sisters who are very nice and made it hard for us to say goodbye.

Best coffee shop we ever been to! Cozy garden. Family who runs the business is very friendly and welcoming. Great coffee, great queijadas, great toasts.

A beautiful cafe in the middle of a flower and herbs garden. Service is very friendly and prices are fair. A good place to have a last drink after a dinner out.

Not very overrun. Very good coffee and tasty juice. Simple menu with limited food options. Staff was very kind and could speak a little German.

Although it's far from the city I love this small coffee bar with it's beautiful terrace filled with flowers.

This is a lovely place to relax, while you drink a tasty coffe or the tradicional pocha. It has that traditional Madeira old house, with a tiny but lovely garden. A lot of locals hang there, and a lot of tourists as well ;)
