Restaurante O Patio

Absolutely immaculate. The waiter was exceptional, very warm and welcoming. Amazing views. The sea bass ceviche was incredible but our favorite dish was the sautéed shrimp. The shrimp was warm and buttery and not overly salted. This was my sister’s absolute favorite meal out of the whole trip!

Delicious! Great portions of food and everything tasted so fresh and clean. The wonderful flavor of the seafood really stood out (in the best way) and wasn’t overpowered by anything else in the dish. We had the catch of the day, spaghetti with clams, and the pasta with a creamy shrimp sauce. The service was excellent, too. Very glad we stopped here for lunch!

Had 2 dinners here consisting of grilled fish mains both delicious. Staff was very good to us offering a complimentary drink of port both times. On our second visit we ordered port after our meal and the waitor insisted on a different complimentary one so we could compare. Great spot to people watch and take in the live entertainment at the beach.

Excellent fresh food and service. Given its fantastic location we thought this might be an overpriced tourist trap restaurant. We were wrong. We had excellent fresh fish perfectly cooked. Delicious fresh oysters. 55euros for a sea bass plenty big enough for 3 and beautifully cooked with fresh veg and great salad. House wine was good and good value. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely return when we’ve in the area again.

Nice place with terrace, maybe a little slow for the small number of people in the place. With everything full, the waits must be very long.
Nice place, good service, very attentive waiter (maybe he was the owner).
A bit expensive compared to other places, but the seafood rice was very good, the desserts were very expensive and in our case the apple pie was a very small portion for what you pay for it.
I would repeat, but I would not order appetizer or dessert, it is not worth it.

Our first meal in Carvoeiro after a full day of travel to get here and it was great. Beautiful weather, great food (lobster bisque, and shrimp, avocado, tomato salad, fresh bread with pate of the day, olives), and a very nice waiter. The prices are up there but we'll worth it imho. Might go back for dinner later this evening.

The shrimp salad and crab on rustic baguette were superb for a late lunch for two. Also a great margarita and beer.

Excellent food!!! Sea bass ceviche was amazing. We ordered the bread and it was perfect match with the ceviche. Catapano de peixe e mariscos was delicious!!! Desserts were nothing extraordinary. They deserve three stars. But the food was excellent!!

We had dinner, fish soup as a starter, sea bass as a main. Everything was prepared well, very delicious. The service was spot on. If time allows, we will be back. Highly recommended.

I'm confused by the negative reviews. This place has fantastic fresh fish and great service. Location is amazing and the ambience is also lovely. A great all-rounder for sure. I recommend the fresh fish and the lobster bisque.

We have been eating here for years every time we come to Carvoiero but always at lunch times and even when crab was not on the menu the very knowledgeable grey haired smiley head waiter (I think) and we are ashamed not to remember his name..used to buy us a crab the night beforehand and get the chef to prepare it for our lunch next day.
People would walk past and see us dissecting our crab with the surgical instruments provided and study the menu to see if it was on...and of course it wasn't.
We returned the other night for a meal with two friends that had never eaten there and we were not disappointed.
My friends wife and I had Monkfish and prawn in a lobster sauce which was perfect.
My wife had the Sea Bass which again was perfectly cooked and my friend had the lamb cooked exactly to his liking.
A few old faces from Piu were serving us very efficiently and with plenty of witty banter flying about we enjoyed the evening immensely.

Visited with my family, wife and 2 kids 4&6. The setting is wonderful near the beach on Carveiro. The staff were really friendly, making jokes with the kids and being really accommodating. For example bringing my daughter a blanket when she was a little cold as he sun set. Food was wonderful and I felt the price for the quality, setting and service was very competitive. Would really recommend

We came back several times in our 1 week stay. It was so good. Great service and I specifically like to point out the tiger prawns, oysters and octopus carpaccio. i am normally quiet picky about food, but this was really very good. I would tell my friends to go here!

Right by the beach and beautiful outdoor seating area. We were served by Ilidio and he was very kind and friendly. Top knotch service and great food. We all enjoyed our food. We ordered squid, shrimp salad, shrimp pasta, and beef medallions and every single one of us enjoyed our dishes. The beef medallions with the sauce was the highlight!

Enjoyed it very much. Friendly staff, tasty and well cooked meals. I had "Lulas à Algarvia"/"Squids Algarvian Style"(see picture) and they were very tasty. I recommend it. My wife had codfish with peppers and she liked it as well.

We had the most delicious meal here with really lovely service. Highly recommend the sea bass and local white wine.

Really lovely food with a sophisticated ambience. We have returned several times for lunch and had great food and wine at every visit. The staff are attentive and professional.

We dined at O Patio last night without a reservation, everyone was super friendly, the suggestions were great and fish fresh and well prepared. Prime location, we really had a great time!

You know that one dish that makes you roll your eyes and do a happy dance when you take the first bite? This fish dish with the Stone Bass filet is one of those. Superbly cooked and flavoursome. Plus friendly banter and great service from staff. Try this place!
